Here at East Side Chimney we pride ourselves on our ability to build, rebuild or repair anything masonry. We offer free quotes on any brickwork, stone work, tuck-pointing, chimney crowns, custom hearths, mantles, surrounds, flue tile replacement, firebrick repair and more. One of the more common problems in this area, the chimney crown is cracked and left unattended which allows water and ice penetration between the flue and the brickwork.
Here in Rochester it's important to consider our climate when performing any chimney work. Over time, your wood burning chimney forms dangerous amounts of creosote (the by-product of wood fires). If ignored, it can start chimney fires and cause smoke and fire damage. I had chimney problems and I chose East Side Chimney to do the work. They replaced the flue, installed a new crown and re-pointed the brick. The job was professionally done at a reasonable cost. They were very knowledgeable about the process and they even included pictures of the chimney damage before the work was done and pictures of the rebuilt chimney.

Mike and his team came through in a big way for us. Despite many things going wrong between illness, supply issues and other delays, Mike's proactive communication and responsiveness kept us at ease. He kept his promises with sticking to our budget and the quality of his work did not disappoint. We love our new fireplace and would work with him again!

Mike repaired our chimney that had been leaking for years thru several failed attempts by others to fix it. We're extremely pleased with the work and professionalism of both he and his crew. Our attic is now drier than it has been in many years. We also had him repair the entire foundation of our 100+ year old house (based on the good work he performed on the chimney). In both cases he did what needed to be done, when he said he would do it and at a fair price. I can't ask for anything more.

We had a broken flue, umsafe firebox, and an aesthetically terrible chimney and Eastside Chimney took care of all of our problems. Mike and his team were prompt, professional, and did a fantastic job. Mike was very knowledgeable and personal and I could not be happier with the work his crew did. Highly recommend and I'll be having them back for more work.

Mike at East Side Chimney went above and beyond! What started out as an estimated 2-3 hour job, ended up being an 8 hour job, due to unexpected complications with my poorly constructed chimney from 1950. They took their time cleaning out & filling in massive holes caused by collapse, replaced the chimney crown and kept to his original (very reasonable) quote. Not to mention an A+ job on cleanup. Highly recommend!

I had a great experience with Mike at East Side Chimney. Mike got out to my house for an estimate the same day and was able to start & complete the necessary work within the next couple days. He explained what repairs needed to be done and took before and after pictures so I could see the finished product. I appreciate all the work & would absolutely recommend.

Super easy to schedule via text and quick response! Mike and his crew did a great job on an chimney inspection for a client. Set expectations on when they are busy and best time to contact for yearly cleanings and explained what should be taken care of immediately and what could be replaced over time.

Mike and his team were great! They arrived perfectly on time and were done in under an hour with the cleaning. Due to snow they couldn't put the new cap on but will reschedule for when the roof thaws. He did say he'd keep the cap in his truck and install it between jobs if the opportunity arises. But really I'm just happy I can have a fire before Christmas 😊😊 I was thoroughly impressed with how quick and CLEAN they were too. I will only be going to Mike and his team for any future chimney needs. I highly recommend!

East Side should be your only go to for Chimney Work and install of wood stoves or any other insert. The professionalism and impeccable work ethics of Mike and his team are beyond extraordinaire. Mike was the only contractor that said he could do the job. I had the need for extensive work done on a Chimney built in 1921. Masonary + Liner + insert + ventilation work all done in one day.
