Services
Ingram's Chimney Sweeper's story began in 1977 by co-founders Tom Booth and Gary Ingram. They converted a bread truck into their first company vehicle. Patrick Ingram soon joined the team and the three of them built a very credible reputation over the years to come. When the guys began retiring, they made certain the company stayed in the family.
The term Chimney Sweep has been around since the first chimneys were created in the 13th century. Although the process has changed a bit, the tools used are still somewhat the same. A chimney brush is still used, along with cameras, vacuums, and other special tools. A Chimney Sweep can be conducted from the bottom of the chimney going upward, or from the roof going down depending on the structure of your chimney and fireplace.
An annual Chimney Inspection is crucial to the safety and well being of your home and its occupants. According to the National Fire Protection Association, during the time from 2011-2015, on average 16,810 home structure fires were caused by chimney, fireplace or chimney connectors equaling 31%. The main reason for those fires was failure to clean (71%).
You may or may not need Chimney Repair, depending on the outcome of your Chimney Inspection. Having carbon monoxide detectors in your home will allow you to notice any potential blockages in your chimney. The chimney is what helps to pull out the smoke and poisonous gasses from your home. If smoke or carbon monoxide are getting inside your home, there may be a crack or blockage in the chimney or flue.

Tom and Jake inspected and cleaned the fireplace in my home. They must be doing something right, because my appointment was scheduled a month out.
They came at the appointment time window and called ahead to let me know how soon until they would arrive.
My chimney wasn't too bad so they were in and out quickly.
I would recommend Ingram Chimney to anyone in the Rochester area.

Chris and Justin came early, which was awesome for me! I needed a cap and inspection with a possible cleaning. They were upfront and honest and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. Justin even told me to call if I needed anything and he meant it. They were the only company to reach out to me when I left messages with everyone. Ingram's Chimney Sweepers have been maintaining my chimney, fireplace and fireplace insert for 19 years. Tom and Justin are the best! They are prompt, thorough, clean and reasonably priced. They have always been beyond professional and they do their best to make sure the customer is satisfied. In any service industry it's impossible to please everyone, but everyone I've referred to Tom and Justin is thrilled to have them work on their chimneys. They are the best!
