With over 10 years of experience in the Chimney and Home Improvement industries both in the field and in the office, Bryan founded Bethesda Chimney for the sole purpose of providing quality work coupled with professionalism and reliability. Bryan grew up in Montgomery County Maryland and is also a Bethesda Chevy-Chase High School alumnus.

I am switching to Bethesda Chimney's services without hesitation to care for my fireplace. I will also try them for other services such as power washing and dryer vent cleaning. This time, which is the first time I use them, they replaced my old fireplace by a new one. They also did a very thorough inspection of the chase which made me realize that it was about time to replace the whole system (not only the fireplace). They also installed a brand new B-vent. Brian, Zach, Rogel, Cody, Shaun and Nicole did an awesome job at our house and their customer service was outstanding! After our chimney repair took an unexpected turn, this team was up on our roof until 8pm on a Saturday night working to find a solution! They are an impressive team and worked to keep the project on time and moving ahead. We're looking forward to using our "new" and improved fireplace this fall!

Just moved into our house and found out we needed substantial repairs to our chimney. Bethesda Chimney just finished the complex project repairing our chimney stack. They did a great job, showing up on schedule, keeping everything neat and tidy and giving me an update each morning and evening on the status of the project. They even finished a day early! Thanks to the great crew - Rogel, Shawn and Cody for making this project go so well.

Had an inspection ($299) and a quote from these guys. Inspection was 1 hour instead of two as they tell you when you book it. Inspection report lacks info and is very basic. Quote is very thorough but with over priced items and 90% unnecessary work. Had another company inspect for $100 and gave a very detailed report with excellent pics. Quote was much much less. Have had four companies give me a quote for the work I need and they are nowhere near the high prices of Bethesda chimney. Do your research folks. For me this is a no go place. They do use fear mongering tactics to redo your entire chimney

The staff is young, rude, and not taking the pandemic seriously. They are walking around my building without a face mask. They blocked my driveway and when asked how long they would be there they started yelling at me, saying they had the right to block my driveway when I needed to leave. I strongly suggest looking for more experienced workers to do your chimney work.

Bethesda Chimney did a cleanup and inspection of my gas fireplace. I have had this unit serviced by other companies over the last 4 years for the same problem and Bryan was the only one to figure out the real issue. Byran and Bradley were both professional and informative on what needed to be done next and I look forward to continuing working with them.

I am super disappointed that Bethesda Chimney says they are "in the DC area" but they do not service Riverdale, MD. I was looking forward to working with them based on reviews here - I called and chatted with a very friendly person who easily booked an appointment (with my address) for a Level 2 inspection, was sent an invoice, and then a day later was canceled on because they said they don't service Riverdale. It didn't say anything on the website about service areas and most DC area vendors take clients in DC, NoVa, MoCo, and PG. Really strange to limit your business like

Persistent sales, incomplete information. Requested a quote for work. Representative arrived, discussed options and was provided a quote which did not include requested information. Quote was detailed and representative provided information on work to be completed. But not for a couple items specifically requested. Emailed Bethesda Chimney (BC) and asked about it without result. BC continued with persistent emails to discuss work. Informed them on other quotes to be solicited. All other companies did not require the pay to quote. Other quotes were significantly less. I sent them a request to quote converting my wood burning fireplace to gas. They sent me back a proposal to do a $199 full inspection of the fireplace and chimney with no mention of the conversion. Apparently they don't actually read the requests.
Edit: They responded back that the full inspection was required before they could offer a quote. Uh, no. I'm not paying money for an inspection before I have any idea what the rest of the package might cost.

Trust is sorta a big deal for any business and its customers. Even more so when the customer has no way of reviewing the work "done" because it's some 40+ feet above ground. I got quotes from a few different Chimney businesses and settled on Bethesda Chimney because Bryan, the owner himself showed up and seemed knowledgeable and personable.
