A split-system heating & cooling system uses an outdoor air conditioner or heat pump and an indoor gas furnace or air handler to deliver comfortable air to your whole household. A package heating and cooling unit is when all heating and cooling components are located in one contained cabinet. Usually they are installed either beside your home or office or on top of a home or business.
My air conditioning unit broke down in the early morning during the excessive heat wave in July. I called every air conditioning company local to Newport Coast and not a single one was available. I called TC and spoke to the owner, Ted Cogan, and he (thank goodness) had 1 opening. He came out right away.

TC Heat & Air has helped us with repairing an older unit and keeping it running, replacing a unit, standing behind his work when we had a small issue with the unit months later, repairing the connection when a rat ate through it outside (what the hell!) and maintaining another older unit. Every time, they've been responsive, showed up on time, priced everything fairly and given the complete story on whys of what they're doing for us.

I had a great experience with TC today and highly recommend them to anyone in the area. I was having some proactive maintenance done and Ted was very helpful explaining the tests and future options for when I need to change out my old equipment. I appreciated his candor and honesty in his recommendations- it felt like he was giving advice he would give to a family member or a friend, rather than as a sales pitch. I'll definitely work with TC again in the future.
