Established in 2011, we rebranded Tahoe Moving Company after formerly being known as All Home Services, which we started in the fall of 2011 as a handyman service. After a few years, we were ready to grow. I quickly found out that there was a need for a moving company in Truckee and started to grow our fleet of box trucks and employees.

According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), a growing number of complaints have been filed against movers lately - many of which are due to the fraudulent practices. For the best price, we recommend booking at least one month ahead in the busy season (May- December) and two weeks ahead during the Winter and Fall.

The guys at Tahoe Moving Company (Blue and Chad) we're super professional and FAST, as well as very personable and enjoyable to be around. They didn't bat an eye or make us feel bad for the filth they had to endure as they battled extreme dust and dog hair. We were so grateful for their help and skilled packing. Would definitely recommend for anyone who needs assistance moving, especially tight spaces. These guys saved the day! Hope they enjoyed a few cold ones after today. Thanks guys!

Everything was fabulous! Super friendly and COVID conscious. Crew wore masks the entire time, considerate of my other housemates while packing up my stuff in SF, and made sure to keep a distance from my mom at the final destination in Tahoe. Of course this move was during the biggest storm of 2021 in February, so we had to reschedule for the next day (thank you Mother Nature for another day to pack). I was super stressed and exhausted from packing up my life in a week. The crew took over, and a huge part of the stress was lifted.

Great overall experience with this company! They were friendly from the beginning to the end. Jake was great with giving me an estimate and I was happy they don't charge extra fees for dumping junk (it's all hourly). It took a couple hours longer than anticipated which is not a total shocker given how much stuff we had accumulated at our old place. The two men who moved us were great and efficient. Terrific experience with these guys. Everything went as smooth as silk. They delivered boxes ahead of time as promised, called in advance to confirm the move, showed up on time, loaded and unloaded in sufficiently. Beyond that, they were very courteous and friendly, and reasonably priced. What more can one ask?

TMC moved my wife and I from downtown San Francisco (SoMa) to the Tahoe area just this last weekend. They were responsive, professional and responsible. Our move on the city side wasn’t easy (parking etc) and they still managed to keep the process as stress free as possible!
Hopefully we aren’t moving again anytime soon, but when we do, we would absolutely use them again.

I'm not one to write reviews, but we had such a great experience with Tahoe Moving Company that it would have felt wrong to skip it. Shane and Jared were quick, knowledgeable, and really nice on top of that. Jake helped set up the process which was hassle free. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone moving to or from the Tahoe area.

We hired Tahoe Moving Company to move us from Round Hill/Zephyr Cove area to Portland. These guys rock! Jake was great to work with on getting the estimate. They packed us up in 2-1/2 days and then arrived early on Day 3 to unload with a coordinated crew in Portland. Shane, Trent, Jared, and Nikolai were the main folks who packed us up. Shane also drove our stuff up and led the Portland crew. Everyone was very polite, friendly, and very careful with our stuff. After living in Tahoe for 33 years, we had LOTS to pack! We can't say enough wonderful things about Tahoe Moving Company. From start to finish, they were amazing. Kept me informed every step of the way and on move day, all the guys were kind, helpful and fabulous. We had 2 houses to move, which complicated things and they were on it, no problem. No pieces broken, and all items that we wanted extra protection for arrived on scene with no issues. All the guys, (River, Shane and Dylan) as well as, Doug the owner were personable, friendly and thorough. Again, can't say enough wonderful things about this moving company.
