We have lived in our house for 35 years and had done minimal renovations. We finally decided it was time and used The Flood Masters. They did an excellent job. Gustavo, the owner, listens to your ideas, needs and wants and will make reasonable recommendations. He was very in tune with our ideas and offered some of his own suggestions as to what would work/look best, which we usually took. So, website clearly states they are available 24/7, and customers will never get an answering service. Well, after calling 3 times and leaving a message (on an answering service) no one has responded and they are unavailable as far as I can tell. Please don't tout how amazing your guarantee of reachability and then make it impossible to get a hold of anyone. Laughable

I say this as a person with a lot of (bad) experiences and someone that tried many options... highly rated on Angie's Lists, Yelp, and personal recommendations. What is wrong with your phones and ability to handle customers? I tried calling several times yesterday, it rings and rings and then goes to messaging. I left a message. We called them out to do a water damage estimate for one of our properties on 9/23 and they had an appointment for that weekend. The next week we had to reach out to them to find out the results and they only told us that they couldn't determine the leak source and would need to cut open dry wall. It is now 10/4 and we still don't have a written report or anything to determine the findings. I would not recommend this company if you have a time sensitive issue.

Called Flood Masters and spoke to Gus, who showed up at our home in 30 minutes. He assessed the damage, explained the process and called in his team who also was on site in less than thirty minutes!!!
The Flood Masters guys moved the furniture, pulled up the wet carpet, removed the water, sprayed anti mold stuff and setup dryer fans and dehumidifiers in no time. It was all so incredibly fast!
Everyone was very professional and pleasant. I highly recommend these guys.

No one wants to have standing water in your basement, and who knows what to do when it does happen. I called our insurance company and they recommended Flood Masters. I never imaged that within one hour Gus would have arrived and started the process of putting my home and sanity back in order. All the worker's were professional and considerate of working in a house that had children and dogs. They did GREAT work and wished that they had other services in their company!!!!!! Don't bother calling anyone else, this is a one stop shop that fixed all our issues.

I am only giving the Flood Masters five stars because there is no option to give them 10. I cannot stress how fortunate we feel to have found Gus and his team after we came home to pretty significant water damage after vacation. We were able to reach Gus immediately, and his team began the process of airing out everything that had gotten wet very soon after we first noticed the problem. Like many people in NoVA, the polar vortex froze some plumbing in my home, which led to some water damage to my basement floor. I had been loyal to a particular Servpro branch in the area but with so much competing business due to the weather (they said they had so many service calls from other people with water damage due to frozen pipes) I guess my minor flood was small potatoes. Very impressed with their service. They were on time, honest, straightforward, friendly, and polite. We were provided a range of choices as to how to solve/prevent our basement flooding, and I appreciate we didn't get a hard sell on one particular service or product. I wish I could like this company, but the basement of the rental property I own flooded on Monday evening and I'm located on the other side of the country and I reached out to Flood Masters on Monday night and again on Tuesday (couldn't reach a live person either time), and today is Saturday and I still haven't heard from them. It is frustrating enough to not be able to be there to do things myself, but when one of the few companies that gets good reviews on Yelp doesn't call you back after 2 times, I wonder if they are really a good company...

Called them on Friday to have them come look at some water damage in my condo in Annandale. We set up an appointment for the next day, Saturday, at 11 am.
Drive from my house in Chantilly to my condo in Annandale. I get there at 11 am, no sign of Flood Masters. I call them at 11:10. They don't pick up, I leave a message. Up until 11:30, I call several more times, no one picks up. I give up at 11:30 and go home. So that was good. I do enjoy leaving my wife and kid at home on Saturday morning and spending 2 hours out of my day doing nothing. Good times.

First time actually writing a review on here bc i feel like I need to give this company extra kudos! From the beginning i knew this was the right company for me to hire bc they last minute came out to my flooded basement and were able to start right away. My AC unit leaked while i was away on vacation and needed immediate attention and immediate action. I had called a few other places i found on here but no one was able to come out right away nor did i feel like they were taking my situation to high importance while i was freaking out.
