How often should I have my chimney cleaned? This a tougher question than it sounds. The quick simple answer is: The National Fire Protection Association standard 211 says, Chimneys, fireplaces, and vents shall be inspected at least once a year for soundness, freedom from deposits, and correct clearances.

I had my chimney repointed and waterproofed. The team was in superb communication including reschedule date due to rain. The were very reliable. The chimney looks brand new with all the junk caulk removed. No leaks and job was cleaned up well. I highly recommend them they are fair priced and perform quality work. A+ thank you guys!

Mike and his staff provided services to include replacing several layers of chimney bricks, replaced crown, replaced one of two top flue clay sections, and also repointed the remaining joints. From my first phone call to Strictly Chimneys to my very last email communication with owner Mike Panzarella, I couldn't have asked for a more professional, integral, pleasant experience. I was told by Mike, up front, what they would do to install a new chimney cap, was given a price beforehand (and it was a fair, competitive price), was given an install date, and was also told I would be called with a head's-up when the install crew was headed to my house. About 10 years ago I had a high effiency oil furnace installed in my 1910 home. The chimney never had a liner and before I knew what was going on, my chimney was falling apart. Mike and his crew are absolutely the best. He is so friendly and professional. Strictly Chimneys gave the best quote out of three and performed high quality service. I used them a few years back to clean my chimney and put on a cap, and today they did major repair work rebuilding layers of brick, redoing the flashing and repointing the mitered joints (if I'm saying all that right). Highly highly recommend!!

Planned to call several Chimney-cleaning places for my parents before speaking with Strictly Chimneys, but the person I spoke to did a great job of explaining everything to me (we may have had/ultimately did have a broken damper) and wasn't at all pressuring, so I gave them the job. Everything got taken care of and the person who came said our chimney didn't need a cleaning yet, so we weren't charged for that. I appreciate Strictly Chimney's professionalism, helpfulness, and honesty. Will strongly recommend to anyone who asks now.

I do not usually write reviews but Strictly Chimneys is one of the most pleasant companies I have had to work with as a home owner. I used them for the first time when we bought our first house in Meriden about 6 years ago. They explained and showed me exactly what needed to be done in a very clear way. I was told by my heating oil company (who were working on my oil burner) that my 50 year old chimney's clay tile liner was very deteriorated and that I needed a new stainless steel liner ASAP.
