Description Of Work: Our clothes dryer was not heating, and he came out and replaced the thermal fuse and 2 stage cycling thermostat. Gilbert was great! He took the time to walk me through the issue with my fridge to even see if it was worth his time coming out. He then came on out, and because he was able to narrow down the problem over the phone, he had the proper part with him (an inverter) and replaced it. He even texted back the next to to make sure it was still working properly. And the price was reasonable as well. Crest was definitely the right choice!

Mr. Rubin replaced the fan in my fridge for $286. 6 months later the fan is not working again. He obviously installed a refurbished low quality motor. The fan was making a constant "washing machine" sound since it was installed, and now it's fried in only 6 months.

Great customer service! I had been dealing with an appliance company that went MIA on me and was searching for another who could fix my stove. I called Crest and though they can't service our area and I think he also said they don't usually handle electric smooth stove tops, he was very nice, honest and graciously offered a good recommendation for another company after inquiring what had happened so far and what we needed. He quickly fixed my broken GE refrigerator without having to order a part or go back to the warehouse, he had the part (and a few other usual suspect parts) with him. He even texted later in the day to ensure there were no issues after he left. Great service, will use again for other appliance repair needs.

I had started a load of clothes only to realize that after the washer filled with water it stopped working. Being the handy person that I am I googled and found that I needed a new lid switch. The fan motor in our refrigerator was making loud grinding/squealing sounds.
Whew I called, the technician was already in the area, and came over after he finished the job he was at.
He was able to tell us what was wrong, and had the part in his truck to replace the failing fan motor then and there.
Very polite, kind and courteous.
Everything was done and cleaned up within 40 mins.

Seeking some help, I just got off the phone with Gilbert regarding a problem regarding my GE washer and dryer. He was candid, professional, and refreshingly transparent about how to seek out the cheapest and most appropriate route to get my appliances fixed outside of his own company. Instead of taking any advantage of my lack of awareness regarding my current situation, he was genuinely more concerned about making sure I was on the right path for my specific needs.

I would highly recommend Crest Appliance Service. I have used their service several times over the last 7 years with complete satisfaction. Gilbert Rubin is a rare commodity, an intelligent, honest and capable individual who cares about his clients. My recent problem was a 2 yr old gas dryer that suddenly wasn’t drying clothes. There appeared to be some heat but not sufficient. I called for an appointment and instead of coming out and charging me for a service call. Based on the great reviews of others, I called Crest to repair a dishwasher. The person who answered told me (very nicely) that they don't repair dishwashers anymore, although they repair most other appliances. It seems dishwasher repair can be tedious and expensive - what he called a "lose/lose" for him and his customer. But he gladly gave me a recommendation for another repair business (Raker), who did a great job, so I wanted to write this to (a) inform others of the DW situation and (b) acknowledge Crest for a great referral.

Gilbert was awesome and so knowledgeable! I was in a refrigerator crisis--the temp was at 50, even though it was still running. I called and left a message, and he returned my call immediately on a Saturday. He was going home for the day when I called, but because it was my fridge, he came over and worked for three hours to fix it. He gave me a lot of tips on my appliances while he was there, and he was cordial to my houseful of kids and two large puppies. He's also fairly priced. I would recommend him in a heartbeat!

My gas dryer stopped blowing hot hair (it was two days before Thanksgiving, and I was leaving town). Gilbert went out of his way to make a same day appointment. Mr. Gilbert Rubin is simply the BEST!!! When you call, be prepared to tell him what the problem is, and the make and model of the appliance. He will ask a lot of questions, and he likely will figure out the problem before he even arrives. He will show up when he says he will and he will give you his honest opinion and do his best to fix the issue. He will take time to explain things, and show you things you need to know. He is kind and so professional. Mr. Rubin's prices are very reasonable. I cannot give him a higher recommendation than to say 5 stars are NOT ENOUGH!!!!

Our refrigerator stopped working on a Sunday and we called and left a message with Crest Repair. Being a Sunday, I didn't expect a return call until Monday. Not the case - within an hour Gil called us back. He asked several questions of what happened and he felt he knew what was wrong. Unfortunately, he did not have that part on his truck and the warehouse was closed for the weekend. Monday morning Gil was at the door. He evaluated what was wrong and already had the part. Less than an hour and it was working. He said he would have been here Sunday if he had the part. The cost was super reasonable

Outstanding service. The first place I called said it would be 2 weeks before they could send out a technician. Gil was here the next day. He could have replaced my heating unit, if he was dishonest, but he showed me a basic problem with my outlet and got me a new flexible coil for the exhaust replacing my kinked up one for well under half the price (basically the cost of the service call plus the material). Honest, trustworthy. I'd highly recommend.

At the risk of cribbing from a previous review, I must say that I, too, had the "pleasure of dealing with Mr. Gilbert Rubin of Crest Appliance Repair" yesterday. He came out on the day after I called him for a refrigerator repair at the exact scheduled time. He patiently diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and charged a reasonable price. Our gas oven has been giving us fits for months, and then just quit heating. Crest scheduled service for next day, and showed up well ahead of the promised time (they knew someone'd be here, so the early arrival was appreciated).
