Originally founded in 1970 in the Sonoma county area by Max Atencio Sr. When Max Sr. retired in 2002, Max Jr. and his wife Nicole took over the responsibilities of the family business. We relocated to Sacramento County in 2009. We pride ourselves in being a workplace that works hard, has fun, and serves our clients with A+ quality every day.

I am in the process of redoing my pool deck that ACS did due to poor workmanship and improper design at a huge expense. Also redoing the installation of two accordion doors and having to rip up tile and put in the proper water proofing to fix the ongoing leaks. Many problems and redo of work all during the job. I would stay away from this company as they do not back what they do, the owner Mike Denny is combative and was not hardly involved even when things started to go south. They do not manage the project in a hands on fashion. It was a free for all with subs coming and going and no real management

No star is more reflective of this group. Stay far, far away from this company.They have NO integrity, blame others for their mistakes and will not fix their own mistakes. Mike Denny, the owner, after repeated attempts, just stopped communicating. Our patio and stone wall is literally cracking and falling off the house. After spending many thousands of dollars with them, I am now advised by some true professionals to demo and start over.

I am very disappointed and sadden by this company. Initially worked with a great point person who later quit after the job was completed and money was collected. Months later had some issues with the work, took additional months to get someone to come out just to tell me they need to simultaneously inspect the work with the concrete company that they bought it from. Was told it was all under warranty and reassured me things will get resolved, weeks went by without any response, multiple calls were made with a lot of the same verbiage “ she’s in a meeting I’ll let her know you called” or

I contacted ACS regarding some concrete and outdoor patio design. They indicated they handled this type of work and would send a designer and estimator to my house. The estimator showed but with no designer and come to find out they do not actually do any design work. They took some measurements and said they would get back with me on an estimate. A couple weeks went by and I contacted the company as I never received a quote or any information. I left all of my contact information for a follow up call. Once again no phone call or contact so I followed up two more times with absolutely no response

Very dissatisfied with the service and especially the work. Based on the reviews, we went with ACS last year to do a patio. They did the job in December when it was cold and it didn't seal right. They have been out a few times to try and fix it but keep giving us an excuse on why it won't clear. It looks dirty and our furniture has left "stains" that shouldn't be there. Even ACS said it shouldn't have happened. My husband has been trying for a year now to get some kind of compensation for this. He has reached out to the owner without any response. We are asking them to completely redo it or offer

ACS did a wonderful job initially --- we had them create a 600+ SF stamped concrete patio, with firepit and wall for our backyard. Everyone we worked with was incredibly nice and responsive throughout the process. When the project was completed, we were happy to see the results.
Fast forward 3 years later, our firepit, which we have used less than ten times, has 3 of the 5 top stone pieces that have cracked in half and become loose --- a major safety hazard for our toddler and our guests. ACS replaced my sunken and broken sidewalk and driveway with a stamped pattern, colored concrete. What a beautiful transformation! Drivers have actually stopped and gotten out of their vehicles to look at it. It's added a great deal of street appeal to my home. I love it! Also, working with them was so easy. They answered my questions and were on time and did exactly what was contracted. Refreshing to work with such professionalism!

We were looking for a quality contractor for our basement remodel and through much due diligence we chose ACS. We chose them because of their creativity with design, flexibly, trustworthiness, and price.
It was a complex project but they finished in a timely manor and did an outstanding job. The fit and finish is world class and I couldn't be happier with the finished product.
ACS exceeded my expectations... Mike, Beth and Ryan are great to work with and I would hire them again and have no problem recommending them to anyone that is looking for a basement remodel or an outdoor room.

Everything about our experience with ACS was fantastic! From our first meetings with the owner and designer to our last with the owner and project manager, everyone working on our backyard project paid great attention to detail and treated our project as if it were their own. The owner came out and called throughout the entire process to make sure everything was up to our standards. Our project manager was here everyday and also made sure to touch base any time a new stage would be starting. It is so nice to work with an owner and company that really cares about customer satisfaction, professionalism

We hired ACS to install a 900 sq ft patio, retaining walls and a 700 sq ft deck with stairs to the patio below. The sales pitch was great. That's where great ended. We selected ACS (the highest bidder of 3) due to their portfolio of experience. Here are the issues we are faced with (now 18 months later) that started 3 months after the install started: cracked and spalling concrete, improperly backfilled retaining walls now leaking mud when raining, an unfinished deck of the poorest craftsmanship and with steps that lead to a landing blocked by one of the support pillars. We trusted ACS to respond
