The Fries family has owned and operated A-Available Moving Company Inc. since 1989. Tom and Mike Fries, who manage the company, all live with their families in Chicago and its suburbs. A-Available Moving is an involved member of the state and local small business community. They participate in the Berwyn Development Corporation and the Illinois Movers' and Warehousemen's Association.

Zain really helped out with a last minute move emergency the week of Christmas. The movers were reliable, fast and professional.
ISSUE: I was given a price for a three hour move. I specifically asked if that would be the final price as long as we did not exceed the 3 hours. We came well within the 3 hour move window. I was charged an additional $275 with no explanation or receipt. I have sent emails requesting information on the charge and have not received any responses. This is now how professional businesses operate.

This was my first time ever hiring movers and I was a little overwhelmed, while calling around for quotes I was immediately impressed by how easy Mike made everything seem. They also offered three movers, rather than two, and their price was only $2 an hour more than a competitor. $2 for an extra mover is a huge bargain!! The movers came on time, were incredibly professional and FAST! They estimated my move would take 3-4 hours and it ended up taking 2.5 hours, saving me even more money! I was really impressed with every aspect of this company and would definitely use them again!

A-Available is the only moving company that I have used through a number of relocations, and the only one I will EVER use! From start to finish, every aspect of the move went perfectly. The crew arrived early, and after receiving a summary of various needs, they were poetry in motion. All of Mom's belongings and furniture arrived safely, and were placed efficiently in her new apartment. All three of the gentleman were efficient, but equally important, kind and compassionate. I just moved with A-Available this morning! 3 great hard-working guys - Randy, Riley and John. I couldn't have asked for a better move; it was quick and efficient (2.5 hours) and most importantly they handled our belongings with care.

OMG!!! Never Ever use this company!!!
We booked a month in advance. We were closing the same day, we had to be out. They showed up late to start with. Wrapped only one piece of furniture in a whole house. Truck was no where big enough to fit a whole RANCH house worth of furniture. Thank goodness for kind neighbors that stored things for us. They left behind things like a dehumidifier that the new owners thought was nice we left it for them, $200 While we were at the closing and my 21 year old son was waiting at new house for delivery and waiting and waiting...we called mike at the company wondering

I have used this mover in the past, but recently, when I hired them to move me, they took one look at my move and turned around and left me high and dry - on a Saturday. I am an artist and I have a lot of stuff. They were under the impression I was going to be a quick and easy move, and they wanted no part of it. They didn't have any boxes, except for a couple of wardrobe boxes, and only two guys. Don't choose these guys if you aren't their "ideal" customer.

A Available moved us on Saturday in the scorching heat and humidity. They were extremely profession, helpful and hard working. They managed to fit furniture through places we never thought it would go. Everything arrived in top notch condition. We couldn't have asked for nicer people. A-Available moved us again and it was an A+ experience. The guys didn't complain about the 30 boxes of heavy books that they had to walk up multiple floors. Nothing was damaged. Tom and his crew are very dependable, John and Chris as well as the 2 brothers that work there are amazing! I had them for 3 days. 2 move trips and 1 additional to empty our Pod. After going on day 3 of moving, I had left my whole wallet open and out on my desk at the bottom of the stairs which they went up and down 50 times day 3 and had other things out and while I didn't mean to, just after an hour when I saw it, I wasn't alarmed. I just knew by day 3, and that Chris was with this company for 24 years and John 10, I was ok and sure enough my wallet had everything in it! A small glass

I was very happy with our experience with this moving company. The men were very polite and careful with our furniture. They took the time to wrap everything carefully and it was obvious that they knew what they were doing. And I felt the price was reasonable for what we moved. I would definitely use this company again.

Mike and his Family are the Best! Moved us from Oak Park to East Lakeview a year ago. This week they moved my son from Uptown to Ravenswood, amazing move. Highly recommend AAvailable! Feel free to contact me if you need details. Well priced, extremely careful, handle furniture and objects as if they belonged to them. Very nice people to deal with. Hopefully will not need again for a while, but I know who I will call first!

Love these guys! They've moved us 3 times. Very fast and efficient. Can carry seemingly unlimited loads with straps on their backs. Never a word of complaint about the giant quantity of book boxes and the multiple flights of stairs. All our furniture and mattresses were carefully wrapped in plastic and blankets.

I contacted another company and got a quote that was about $200 more than A Available. I believe I spoke with Mike, and he laid out the charges and timeline for me. I called him the day before to confirm details and add an additional stop, and he was totally accommodating.
The three man crew showed up 15 minutes early, promptly introduced themselves to my husband and me, and asked for their instructions. They took 90 minutes to clear out our 1 bedroom condo PLUS the storage unit we had in the

I have moved twice with A-Available, plus my sister has had movers help her move out of her apartment from A-Available. My family and I have been nothing but supremely impressed.
