We were fairly new to San Antonio when we decided to replace our 17-yr old A/C system before the summer. We looked at the referral list in our community, and found so many positive recent reviews for Mr. Erwin, who, as it happened, had installed the systems when our homes were built. We got several bids. Mr. Erwin wasn't the cheapest (the one cheaper than Mr. Erwin was so low it scared us), but Butch (one of the owners) came out with the as-built drawings, and discussed options with us showing us on the drawings how it would be done. I'm a new customer with Mr Erwin. First two visits early this year (2019) for a/c service were excellent. Marcello is the Service Tech who came out on those calls. He was very courteous, thorough and professional. No bs, no games, no attitude. Just hard, thorough work and most importantly, he was honest about all details.
Today (12/3/2019), Guadalupe was the Service Tech who came out to do a winter checkup on my heating system. Lupe went above and beyond while servicing my heating system. He noticed that I have a 2-stage system, but for whatever reason, it was only wired for single stage

Bought a $15,000 a/c unit from Mr. Erwin. Very helpful with financing and installation. All good, right? Came home first night. Massive water leak ruined ceiling. Called every number for Mr. Erwin. No answer. No callback. Eventually reached them during business hours.Turns out they installed drip pan incorrectly. (Eventually) paid for the ceiling repair. They pointed out to me that the secondary drain line was improperly installed. Said they would come correct it. Gave me their (owners) cell numbers in case of future problems. Having used Mr. Erwin for eleven years since they installed the HVAC in our new home, they have truly impressed us again with their expertise, responsiveness, courtesy and reliability.
Late yesterday afternoon, my wife noted that one of the drain pipes above our front door was dripping a fair amount of water. We know that water from these pipes is either from the water heater or the air conditioner, and that a faulty unit may be overflowing. One of the best contractors I have ever dealt with. We had them redo the entire A/C system in our house a few years back. We got many quotes, and Mr. Erwin was the best by far. All of the workers were very professional and friendly, and they did a great job. We used another air conditioner company earlier this year and all they wanted to do was sell us another unit. They also charged us a fortune ($500+) and the a/c is still not working. Santos from Mr. Erwin came out and fixed a minor issue that should have been done by the other company. It is nice to know there are still companies like Mr. Erwin that can be trusted to provide good and affordable service!

Although I have always been extremely happy with Mr. Erwin (they have serviced our A/C and heaters for 25 years), I took advantage of an unsolicited phone offer from another company to tune up our three units. They would tune up all three units for $59.95. The units hadn't been checked in a while so I said, "Come on out".
The technician that came was very friendly and courteous. After he finished the tune ups he came in with some papers and asked where my wife and I wanted to sit while he went over things. It was a good thing that he asked us to sit down.
