The owner of Purewood Furniture has been involved in the "unfinished furniture" industry since 1999. As a former employee of Haywood's Unfinished Furniture, the owner decided to open his own store and continue to do business in the community. Established in 2004, we continue to assist San Diego area residents with their custom building and furniture finishing needs!

Custom Building Report

At Purewood Furniture we can build "custom furniture" without the long wait and high prices other builders might offer. Our furniture is built using real wood construction with NO particle board! We have a workshop dedicated to building custom furniture. You can choose from Pine, Alder, Oak, Cherry or Maple.

We had a great experience at purewood. We got sick of replacing cheap engineered wood furniture and decided to custom order our dresser. We brought in an inspiration photo and had a great time going over each element needed to get the look we wanted. We decided on a 6 drawer alder in a teak matte finish and love the result. Quality is night and day to what you can buy at pottery barn.

I came in today and the gentleman who was there was super friendly and helpful. My husband and I sanded down our dinning table and I showed him a picture of what we want. He showed us how to do it and what we would need. We need new dinning chairs so we will definitely use them.

My husband and I had been looking for a bedroom set for a few years. We knew we wanted something that would last us years and years and made of solid wood. I’m so glad we found Purewood Furniture and worked with Don. I was so impressed with his knowledge and insight. He answered every question we had with detail. He helped us find an amazing set and delivered it and set it up for us. The delivery was amazing, very professional and everything was handled with care. We plan to come back for a cabinet and hutch in the next few months.

If you care about quality and professionalism, you will give this place a look.
In an Amazon and Ikea world, we've grown used to having things fast and cheap. Furniture is no exception. However, we all know that this stuff sucks and you will probably break something while you're putting it together. ProTip: Most moving companies won't even insure particle board. It WILL break.
