Services
Rochester District Heating is governed by a 10-member Board of Directors, all of whom represent customers of the steam system. Board members are appointed or elected by our customers as provided for in the By-Laws. Decisions regarding matters such as budget, steam rates, and operating policies are voted on and approved by customers and implemented by the Board, which meets bi-monthly.

24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year we supply reliable cost-effective thermal energy to downtown Rochester, NY. Our newly modernized plant on Lawn Street produces steam which is distributed through a nine-mile network of piping serving over 8.5 million square feet. This advanced network of piping allows customers to connect to the steam source without the need for on-site boilers.
