Fireplace inserts are usually made from cast iron or steel. In today's fireplaces, these inserts usually come equipped with self-cleaning glass doors that allow the flames of the fire to be viewed while the doors remain closed. Some fireplaces have mantles while others do not. The mantel usually serves two purposes: to improve the heating efficiency of your fireplace, and/or to change the dynamic of your room.
Occasionally when people have fireplaces built into their homes that they don't use for fires they will install an electric fireplace. These provide heat, the visual mimicry of flames, and do not produce any smoke. Fireplaces are also valued for their decorative capabilities, and you might simply find a mantle and doors that suit your room, even without an accompanying fire.

I just left Fireplace Pro, the rudest, women I have ever dealt with in my entire life. If you give them any business you are a fool. No doubt they will be out of business soon, I guess that’s why there is no one ever in the store. I just read all the other comments about this women and I wish I would of read them earlier instead of subjecting myself to such rudeness.

Would not recommend this company at all. I had a gas fireplace installed in my office 3 years ago. When I called for repair service today I was told it could not be service for another month and that I should have known to have it serviced annually. At the time of purchase annual service was never suggested. The woman on the phone was very condescending and rude since "I should have called in September for service" and "should have known to have it serviced annually".

Rude and had me in tears. My neighbor has dementia and missed an appointment to service his gas fireplace so I offered to pay them for missed time on appointments that he missed and be there for the next one. The woman and man started yelling at me and I tried to explain his situation but they kept yelling at me. Then said “we’re sorry”. Oh they recommended a fireplace store in Bayville so that’s exactly who I’d buy anything else from. Day before Thanksgiving how awful.

This place was wonderful! The owner is so nice and helped me pick out a proper fireplace. The showroom was aesthetically pleasing and exactly what you wanted to see while browsing. I’ve never met a nicer, more compassionate owner! Will be referring to all my friend’s and family! Thank you for a great experience, and I will 100% be back.

Had purchased a ventless fireplace insert, planned a date of installation. Upon arrival the installation men realized we are under construction and gave a song and dance about it Turns out the are not licensed and do not get permits which allowed me time to reconsider using their services, do your research first. I was uneducated and luckily was able to get my deposit back without a hassle. But it raised many red flags as far as having an unlicensed person install gas lines.

Great experience!! We had our fireplace installed and after about a week of use, we began smelling gas. They sent someone right out who was able to detect gas and tighten a loose screw. A day later, we smelled gas again; called back and set up another service call. This time, instead of trying to figure out the issue; they replaced the entire insert with a brand new one. Couldn't be happier with the way it was handled by the owner and service technician; was definitely, not expecting it to be replaced (on the spot) but so thankful it was!! Highly recommend Fireplace Pros!

I have used this store for 3 years to start our gas fireplace for the first time each year. They have been wonderful. This year the fireplace went off shortly after they started it. I called the store and they sent the technician back out. Before he entered the door he told me that they don't repair. He started the fireplace then left. It went out again within an hour. When I called I was informed that they do not repair. So I called a plumber. Plumber came and evidently a wire that goes to or from the thermocouple had been moved probably during cleaning. He reattached and the fireplace has been

Could have just sold me the parts and I would been none the wise. I didn't get her name but the lady at the counter Knew exactly what was wrong and Took the time to tell me what I needed to do fix/clean the pilot assembly on 10 year old insert. Honest sales and service today is a rare thing. Will definitely return for parts or assistance in the future.

I had to wait a month for an appointment, but it was worth it! Mike was thorough, methodical, and obviously skilled at inspecting and maintaining gas fireplaces. He was very patient and explained exactly how the fireplace worked, how to light the pilot, and how to use the fireplace safely. And he treated my house like it was his. I would highly recommend Fireplace Pros!
