There are many digital machines and even smartphone apps which can help you determine if your piano is in tune. They absolutely do work to see if your piano is in pitch but no professional recording studio or concert hall will allow a tuner with such a device. Piano Tuning is the last step in the education process when training to become a professional piano technician.
Piano Tuning is the maintenance of piano string tension. The piano was designed to withstand and sustain a certain pressure from the strings, which even in smaller pianos is greater than 60,000 lbs whether you play or not. When humidity changes, the wood reacts to the change, absorbing or losing moisture.
The best time to have your piano tuned is right before the show. In a concert hall, if there are two concerts per day, the piano gets tuned before each performance. To keep a piano alive it is a good idea to follow the heating cycle in your home. Twice each year is a minimum and the right time to get the piano tuned and serviced is when the heating cycle sets in during late fall and again at the end of the heating cycle in late spring.
Piano has to be delivered and maintained by Amadeus Piano Company. During delivery, our trained professionals will advise proper placement of the instrument in the home. Placing piano near heat vents, exterior walls, windows, AC units or vents, open kitchens, humid basements, will void the warranty because a piano needs a stable and consistent environment to hold a tuning as well as mechanical and structural stability.

Amadeus Piano moved my piano this morning and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. It was a difficult move up outdoor steps and around a tight landing. In fact, the moving company that had moved it along with my other belongings from CA to CT (for a hefty price) took it out of their truck onto the pavement and then told me they could not get it up the stairs and even if they could they knew from experience it absolutely could not get around the landing. (By the way, do not EVER use Colonial Van Lines no matter what BS they try to sell you! With my piano sitting on the pavement

The church that I attend in Stamford, First United Methodist Church of Stamford, needed to move an organ and a piano, from one location to another. We contacted Amadeus Piano movers. They were prompt, courteous, professional and careful. Our move took place during a snowstorm and they made sure to protect both items from the incriminate weather. The price was reasonable, and the service was excellent. I would recommend Amadeus Piano without hesitation if you have need to move a piano or organ.

Recently, Amadeus Piano came to pick up a player piano from my home. The gentlemen who came were phenomenal, kind, and polite. They had a tough job on their hands, but they took it in stride. I've had my piano for more than 60 years. It means the world to me and I won't let just anyone touch it. After using Amadeus to tune and repair it, I won't let anyone else but Amadeus near it. I began using Amadeus about 5 years ago. Yuri has kept my piano beautifully tuned and in expert repair ever since. My piano isn't just turned and repaired, it is cared for by Yuri of Amadeus.
