Mickey has gorgeous inventory & is super knowledgeable. He's also the most honest rug dealer that I've ever come across and I've dealt with quite a few. We had a great experience with Mr. Singh. We spent quite a bit of time in his store going though a huge pile of rugs. He really knows his inventory and explained the differences between the various styles. After we visited his store, Mr. Singh brought 4 carpets out to our home in the western suburbs to try out. He brought three carpets that we chose at the store and one that he picked out based on photos of the room where the carpet would be placed. He was willing to spend as much time as we needed. He patiently moved furniture on and off each rug so that we would really see how the rug would work

My wife and I bought a spot in Chicago and wanted to design from rug up. We shopped around Chicago at several different shops and we found Mickey at Al Sahara Rugs to be the best of the best. Mickey was knowledgeable, very helpful, friendly and. pleasure to work with. The inventory is deep and extensive and we appreciated the no pressure assistance. Al Sahara has a very extensive inventory of high quality rugs which can be readily seen in person with no pressure. We enjoyed Mickeys hands on approach in explaining the difference in the rugs we were looking at. Don't leave Al Sahara off your list

After looking for the right area rug at a number of rug and furniture stores, I happened to pass Al Sahara Rugs. Mickey asked what style of rug I wanted, where it would be used, and my price point. He then started showing me a number of beautiful rugs. Mickey knows his product and he has a no-pressure style. We eventually settled on the right rug and it looks beautiful in my house.

Do not go ANYWHERE else than Al Sahara Rugs to find the highest quality, the most beautiful selection and the best value fine rugs in all of Chicago! Mickey welcomes you into his store as if you are a family friend visiting his home. He is calm, patient, informative and not pushy. He listens to the customer and is able to quickly understand what you are looking for, what you like and especially what you don't like. He let us take home a rug to try it out in our space before committing to the purchase. There is NO pressure to buy. I wish all professionals took as much pride in their business

Unless you yourself are also an expert, shopping for a quality rug is about as transparent a process as figuring out how to get the Covid vaccine... Good luck. HOWEVER, I can not speak highly enough of Mickey Singh from Al Sahara. He is as honest and transparent as anyone in any industry, let alone rugs. After taking time to educate me on the differences between the rugs I was viewing and helping me understand which would be best for my space based on potential risks (temperature, moisture, etc), Mickey let me take home 2 rugs and try them out in my space for a week. Our family had a wonderful experience shopping for carpets at Al Sahara. We have purchased fine carpets before, for India, Turkey and other countries over the years. Never before have we seen the quality and selection that is available at Al Sahara.

Fabulous owner, wonderfully knowledgeable and as fair in his pricing as I've ever experienced. I've bought rugs from many different places over the years and Mickey is truly a gem--I'll never go anywhere else at this point. My mother and sister have now also bought rugs in there, as well as a friend and all had wonderful experiences. It really is as good as it gets at Al-Sahara.

Our decorator sent us here. Brought home a rug we really liked, and did the color-fastness test on it (took a damp rag to it), and wow, did the red color come off, which means if we ever washed it the red would have bled all into the other colors and fringe. Brought it back at which point they knocked 40% off the already low price, we said no. Bought a rug from somewhere else that had no color fastness issue.
