Phillip Hunter, the owner of Ladera Design, LLC, has practiced landscape design and installed numerous projects in New Braunfels, the Texas Hill Country and surrounding areas since 1996. Phillip has been intrigued with the beauty of the hill country and its flora for as long as he can remember. As a young adult, he attended countless landscape seminars, garden lectures and worked at smaller customer oriented garden centers.
These experiences have been the catalyst behind his passion for creating timeless landscape designs. Phillip's scope of work includes projects ranging in size from small garden homes to residential estate installations. Over the years he has worked alongside many well-known architects and custom home builders in the South Texas and the Hill Country areas.
With over two decades of experience, Phillip continues to refine his style and approach when creating the perfect landscape for his clients. Ladera Design, LLC grew out of Phillip's passion for creating landscapes with a timeless style that are in harmony with the Texas Hill Country.

Services
We are primarily a design/build landscape contractor. All of the design work we do, is for clients intending for us to install the entire landscape. We prepare a detailed and thorough proposal that includes a firm price with no forgotten costly surprises. Most proposals and concept plans will be completed in two weeks after our initial consultation.

Phillip Hunter of Ladera Design & Landscapes is a pure artist. He brings a concept to fruition. I drove around looking at beautiful landscapes that were primarily drought resistant succulents...and when I asked for recommendations, the answer was Ladera of New Braunfels. I understand Phillip & team have spent many years working together and it shows both in execution of design and work ethic. Without question, I highly recommend Ladera.

I am no green thumb! So for me it was a "no brainer" that I would need professional help when adding landscaping to my newly built pool. We got the three landscaping bids. Phillip from Ladera Design was our third bid. He showed up on time and listened to what we had envisioned for our pool. His bid was well within budget. I can't stress this enough...Phillip really does listen. I told him that I wanted something low maintenance and could withstand the extreme Texas heat. Also, I wanted plants that wouldn't drop leaves throughout the pool adding to a big mess. He picked

Ladera Design, owned by Phillip Hunter, has done two jobs for us in recent months. Phillip is very easy to work with and his ideas and thoughts improved greatly on our ideas and plans. His crew is efficient and hard working. All of his work, which included clearing, leveling, landscaping and creating a tiered yard with stone walls, exceed our expectations. When all work was complete on both jobs, Phillips crew did a great job cleaning up our yard and the surrounding areas. We will use Ladera Design in the future for additional irrigation services and as needs arise.

Phil Hunter, owner of Landera Design, recently did a landscape design and installation at my home in Wimberley. I am extremely happy with all the work that was done. Included in the design were numerous pathways, a fire pit, stone wall, and a beautiful water feature. I feel very satisfied with my one of a kind landscape design and I happily give Phil and Landera Design, 5 stars.

I recently had Phillip redo my existing landscape. I was very impressed with his attention to detail, professionalism and liked dealing directly with the owner.
