Black moose was amazing for our pellett stove install. The shipping was delayed and they went out of their way to go pick it up. There was an issue with the house and a random pipe in the way but they were able to quickly overcome the problem. Super professional and love the finish product! Highly recommend!

Dispatch/ customer service was super polite and professional every time I talked to them, and our inspector Cedar was on time to the minute, incredibly professional, knowledgeable, respectful of our home, and very considerate about how he worked around our very young child. Will definitely be requesting him to do future work on our chimney and stoves!

I scheduled a chimney inspection/cleaning back on September 7th and Black Moose was able to send a technician out within about two weeks, which was wonderful. The technician who came out, Ray, was knowledgeable and able to talk me through some of the findings and provide wonderful options for repair.
Since the inspection on September 22nd, communication with the business has been unreliable. Each email takes approximately two weeks for a response, and the response is usually "we will have someone get in contact with you." I have waited to respond as I don't want to seem too pushy. I've called

Can't be bothered to reply to any correspondence whether it's emails or phone calls. Paid them to inspect to put in a new pellet stove and once we asked questions to move forward with it they refused to answer any calls or emails. Piss poor customer service.

I haven't been a paid customer but after some internet searching and chatting with the owner this is definitely a company I want to use. Matt, the owner didn't speak down to me and took the time to answer all my questions. I also searched to make sure they had certified technicians and made sure they are members of the National Chimney Sweep Guild. Turns out they take education very seriously. Before I close on my new house they will be doing a full inspection with a cool Camara.

A few years ago (I'm a little behind the game on posting reviews to google) we hired Black Moose to come do a yearly chimney inspection and cleaning. After the inspection the tech told us our chimney was cracked in multiple places and posed a major fire risk - they quoted us $3,000.00+ for a chimney repair. We were shocked by this as we only use our fireplace a few times a year, its largely decorative.
I decided to get a second opinion from another local chimney company. They inspected our chimney and found no cracks at all, in fact everything was in great shape. Apparently the "cracks" Black

We just had a great experience with Black Moose Chimney and Stove. They came to check out our chimney and pellet stove. They gave the pellet stove a good cleaning with pictures to show the difference. They let us know that our fireplace didn’t need to be cleaned which saved us money. It’s our first time owning a house with a fireplace and stove. We wouldn’t have known the difference so I super appreciated their honesty and willingness to save us money. They were so friendly and definitely earned my trust.

We called Black Moose to transition our pellet stove air intake pipe from a flex hose to a hard pipe. We also asked them to paint both the vent and hose matte black.
The 2 man team arrived within their arrival window, were friendly and polite. They went about their business promptly upon arrival, and kept a clean worksite. They did great work, and it didn't take them very long.
We are planning to keep them on as our regular pellet stove/chimney maintenance company as we like them better than the other company we have previously used- we highly recommend them.
