Services
Robert Olson + Associates was established in 1985 to serve the needs of communities and institutions. We have developed our practice from an architectural firm focused primarily on building design into an interdisciplinary design firm providing institutional planning and programming, architecture and landscape architecture.
We create beautiful places by a unity of site, landscape and building integrated by common principles of design: to articulate the landscape's unique capacity to provide natural refuge, to reveal this in the narrative structures of movement and rest, and to express the landscape's capacity to communicate our client's values, to provide enjoyment and to support reflection.
The Addison Gallery of American Art has had a facelift, and this one is not merely cosmetic. Once inside the neoclassical museum, visitors will notice that the galleries have been painted while they were closed for the summer. A roof-top garden in Middletown and a pond preserve in Westport are among the projects honored recently by the Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects.
