Diablo Valley Handyman Service was established in 2016 by James Yancy. James is a third generation contractor who worked for over 16 years in the building and remodeling industry, before deciding it was time to start his own business. James has over 20 years of experience, which started out in the family business of maintaining property rentals.
Other professions over the years include field supervisor for Carey Construction, and Foreman in energy efficiency renovation for the civic centers in Fresno, California. After a few years, James found his niche and settled into the handyman service industry, providing services such as electrical, carpentry and plumbing.

He is very passionate about what he does and takes great pride in all of his work. He believes in completing projects on time, on budget and thrives on complete customer satisfaction.

James was excellent and even moved the work due to delays from a contractor who was doing work ahead of him. The crew worked efficiently to construct a pergola and two planter boxes, all of which turned out amazing. They also sealed around our garage door to rodent. I will continue to use this company for all our needs.

Unfortunately, this place needs to work on customer service and calling and email customers back. Got a quote with just the price and no other information detailing how long and/or what work was going to be performed. I called them up to talk about the estimate and was told someone would call me back to talk me through the pricing. That never happen. Basically they want to charge $2400.00 worth of Labor ONLY to replace three outside closet doors that would take about two hours to complete each one. thats $300.00 a hour for labor and you still need to get the doors and hardware on top of that..

Diablo Valley Handyman services actually came out and did good work on my house! That alone is a hard thing to find in the Bay Area these days. They worked with me on the level of work that I wanted done and made sure that I was fully aware of my options. I'm really impressed by them and hope to work with them more in the future!
