I will be sending everyone I know here! I can't wait to come back once I'm in need for more rugs and have a bigger place, the entire staff is so welcoming and helpful. I bought two BEAUTIFUL rugs here, and it was my first time moving out on my own, so they helped me pick which would look best in my place. These are my first high quality rugs and it makes such a big difference in my home, they are so soft and really bring the place together. I couldn't be happier and the rugs are amazing quality. So excited about my new rugs I bought from this store, we had finished furniture shopping and after many stores we found modern rugs la which had what we were looking for to match our restoration hardware furnishings. The BEST experience in rug shopping I've EVER had! Josh was extremely helpful and accommodating. He suggested merging two rugs together to get the large size I needed for my large living room. The result was stunning!! We repeated this process for my bedroom as well, with a different rug. I would not hesitate to start my rug shopping here in the future.

HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for a high quality modern rug. They have a beautiful selection and the customer service is unbelievable. They let us choose 3 rugs for each room we were buying for and then came to our home to try each one out so that we can see them in the space before choosing. The people who were helping us have been there 10+ years and were very knowledgeable. At the last minute we asked them if they could ship our old rugs for us and they took them on the spot. Modern Rugs LA is the only place to buy rugs! Good quality, great selections at reasonable prices and Sasha and his team are the nicest people you'll ever deal with anywhere! Not to mention the sweet, gorgeous, well-groomed and well behaved white doggies who will be there to greet you if you're fortunate enough to go on the right day.
I bought several rugs from Sasha four years ago and recently thought I would have to replace my favorite one after my new dog had multiple accidents on it. Plus it had some deep rust stains from a table and add to that during the pandemic I tried cleaning it myself

My go to place for modern rugs :) They never let me down they are always so friendly and accommodating and polite and kind. They have incredible rugs that all my clients love and are wonderful people to work with. I have been getting rugs from them for the last 6 years and I have had nothing but wonderful experiences there. We walked into this place after eating lunch and immediately fell in love with the owner Sasha. He was so welcoming and so patient with us. We had my nieces with us who were causing a ruckus but Sasha didn't mind at all.

Believe the hype! This is a wonderful, family owned and operated store with a stunning selection of high quality rugs at excellent price points. Their website also allows you to see what a rug would look like in your home, which was extremely helpful. Plus, the dogs! I'm working on a design project and dropped by today for my first time. I was greeted by two beautiful and sweet white fluffy Samoyed dogs! They add so much to the ambiance of this truly amazing showroom. I was helped by Sanem. So nice and informative. I got all the information I needed as far as what they have ready to go to custom designs. So many beautiful, extraordinary rugs. All works of art. So hard to choose!

I can't say enough good things about our experience with Modern Rugs LA. I first became aware of this great showroom from DWELL magazine a few years ago. Last year we visited for the first time and was very impressed with the variety of great designs at prices that were about half of the really high end design showrooms in LA. Sasha the owner was very giving of his time and educated us on the issues one needs to consider in buying a rug. We recently renovated our house and purchasing rugs was the final touch to put it all together. We met Sasha and Sabrina at their now shuttered Helm's Bakery location and they couldn't have been more helpful. My wife and I are so happy we found Modern Rugs LA and we will definitely be using them for all of our future rug purchases. The owner and every employee we came across were so friendly and helpful. My wife had her eye on a specific rug on Wayfair.com and they made us a custom rug with that same design and even price matched. Even if we moved out of LA, we'd order from Modern Rugs because they were so nice. Highly recommended!

Just picked up a beautiful rug from here a few days ago. The place had a great selection in contemporary rugs. What I really appreciated was that the owner, Sasha, literally went through nearly every rug explaining the different types fibers and how they would suit my needs as well as the process of how each rug is actually made. At one point, seeing my momentary indecisiveness, one of his employees quickly photoshopped up what a few would look like in my living room (I had taken a photo of a my couch I'm trying to pair it to before leaving the house).

Just had another wonderful visit with my favorite boys I mean the distinguished gentleman at Modern Rug LA. And as always they never disappoint me. I brought in one rug that should have been tossed in a dumpster I did not think it could be repaired. But I should've known better Sasha and his team said no problem we can take care of this. And of course while I was there I had to browse and I found the most amazing rug for my new home and I cannot wait for it to arrive!! Awesome place with lots of options and if they don't have it they can of course order it. I prefer my gratification in the instantaneous format so this place was my spot.
Tons of options (possibly too many for some) to try/touch/see. They are very nice people and not pushy at all. They also have a poofy Samoyed mascot that is a big ball of white fluffy love. Probably go back just to see him :p
I don't know if this is common so don't go in demanding it but I was torn between two options and they basically said I could take the rug home and try it out and if I didn't like it

After reading reviews decided to check Modern Rugs out but was a teensie bit afraid prices would be too expensive. Ended up buying a 5 by 7 rug with a nice design for a reasonable price, and they even threw in a complimentary $80 pad with a yelp check in. Was served mainly by Paulino but the other younger guy helping us out was nice as well.
Said they've been open for 7 years and I'm not surprised. Their selection is nice and they've got great rugs in various (decent) price ranges. I plan on returning to buy a faux fur rug for another room in my apartment. This lady is satisfied

Awesome owner and employees...great value and selections. Their rugs are high quality and the guy that helped us gave some helpful recommendations. We ended up getting something that I really liked.
They also have the cutest dog Toby!! I'm giving them 5 stars for that...lol just kidding.
If you need a new rug, go ask for Toby. ;) jk...
