A home-equity-line-of-credit is a fantastic option considering the loan is being used to improve the value of the home being borrowed against.

There are so many solar companies but it seems like none of them are actually in Florida. We are so glad we found a local Florida company with Sailfish/Martin County Solar. It was such a huge difference talking with them after spending weeks talking with salesmen who sounded more like time-share salesmen than solar companies. We went with a 11.7kW system with Qcells panels. Our power bill dropped from about $250 to an average of about $20 a month. Great system, great service. Last month we completed the installation of a 10.2kW solar PV system on our roof. We went with the Qcells panels and Enphase inverters. Our first electricity bill came today and it looks like about $200-$210 in savings. Slight higher than MCS forecasted. I must say, their approach to the sales process is unlike any I have experienced. They really, really know their product and it was obvious from the outset that they were only interested in selling us what was best for us with a ton of flexibility. It felt like a truly custom project.
