ABOUT US.The Harbys started our fireplace and shed business in 1977, at the height of the energy crisis in a small storefront located in the flats of Wexford, then they moved to Rt 228 in Mars. In 2004, we took over the business, which is now called Fergusons Fireplace and Grills. Although everything along Route 228 has changed, our store has remained in the same spot for about 40 years.
Along with being your Fireplace/heating experts, we now sell better quality grills, smokers and pellet grills. We have always been a small, family oriented business who truly cares. We sell and make products that we would have in our home and the homes of our friends and family. So disappointed in our experience with Gary and Debbie. After reading the reviews and feeling like they were a small business that really delivered on service, were reasonably priced and truly cared about the customer experience we entrusted them with our business. Unfortunately we are left regretting making the investment with them. We had our gas insert installed last summer after waiting several months for delivery due to supply chain issues. Once the weather turned cold we noticed that cold air was blowing into our family room through the newly installed unit when it wasn't in operation. We

We contacted Ferguson Free Energy because the company (Fireplace & Patio) that installed the Heat & Glo unit refused to service it because it was over 15 years old and implied we should purchase a new fireplace.
Gary, the owner, came out and when we told him that the fireplace would shut off intermittently, he immediately diagnosed the problem as a faulty electrical connection and repaired it. He also vacuumed the entire interior, added embers, cleaned the glass and even painted a scratch that was on the exterior. All for the cost of the service call. Since we built our home nineteen years ago

We had an insert installed last year. It is excellent. Gary is an expert when it comes to installation of these units. Everyone I asked about getting one referred me to Ferguson with out question. My parents also had one installed years ago by Gary without any issues and they burn several cords during the winter. When you are buying something that literally is burning in you home, you want somebody you can trust. I trust Ferguson and will buy from him again.

Great buying experience. Had lots of fun talking to and learning from Debbie. After visiting 4 stores, Ferguson's was the first to respond, visit, measure, and price a wood burning insert fireplace. I bought the Hampton HI400, enameled porcelain in Timberline Brown. It's actually a gorgeous almost deep red/purple. Top-of-the-line. Works great and provides an essential off-grid source of heat. Fireplace is in basement, keeps living area above at 70 degrees when it's 40 outside. Below 40 degrees, the insert fireplace massively cuts down on the number of times the furnace has to cycle. Great experience from start to finish. Drove over and hour to visit their showroom. Had great experience that day and saw several gas inserts. Setup for them to come out and give an estimate. They called a few days later because they were in the area and could stop by. Gary gave us his honest opinion and actually talked us in to going with a smaller unit and saved us money in the process. Gary and his assistant came out on time the day of the install and explained the process and how to maintain and use the gas insert and the remote when the job was complete. We love our Regency Gas Insert.

I really liked the concept of shopping locally for a shed. But ‘Gary’ was just insulting on the phone when I was trying to get some shed pricing. He didn’t want to be bothered giving any sort of ballpark estimate because he’s too busy with fireplaces right now. Not trying to put it up right now buddy, but people who are trying to plan a $5k purchase might want to have their ducks in a row for spring. Just ignorant store ownership here. Beware.

We just purchased a barn/shed from Gary (the owner) and we couldn't be more pleased! He was fast, on time each day, worked hard, and put up an awesome 12X20 gable shed next to our house. We did not have him stain it because we are using an oil based stain to match our house. He puts the sheds up on blocks and builds them on site. Well worth the extra money!
