Michael started his lifelong career in construction at the early age of 16 in his family's mechanical contracting business. Within a few years he became managing partner and eventually ran his family's multi-million-dollar company when his father retired. His curiosity eventually led him into construction where he found his true passion, designing and building custom homes.

Newberry Homes is a business with heart. This father and son duo take pride in the reputation they are building in Volusia county and across the state. Chad and Mike worked extensively with me in the design and planning of my new home. Their insights and experience saved me countless hours of time and expense. Ultimately the project couldn't be completed due to permitting obstacles and an unconventional lot, but Chad and Mike continued to assist and advise me long after it became evident that this particular project was not going to come to fruition (and long after other builders/developers would have walked away looking for another more profitable project). If I could choose zero stars, I would for their rating but YELP won't allow zero. Be very, very, very careful when contracting with this builder. Mike & Chad Newberry make an incredible first impression but then it's over. You will come to regret your decision to build with them. Having built 5 new homes in different parts of the country, we expected a similar and good experience. Fact is, we are still friends with every builder we've ever used. That is not the case here. You will see unexpected change orders, they will not follow your instructions and the results may sicken
