We have lived in our custom built Kargar home for slightly over 4 years.
This is the first house that we had custom built, and I was very pleased with the level of professionalism and communication we had during the entire build. Many builders can talk the talk, but Kargar truly delivered.
There are so many things go into having a custom home built, and they kept us up to speed during the entire process. These are not cookie cutter homes that you see all over the place. Let me start by saying that I bought a 1 year old Kargar home from the original owner. There was no warantee at that point. Never the less there were a lot of issues that shouldn't have been issues for a relatively new home. Read on...
I don't know how they got anyone to give them a positive rating. My experience with them has shown nothing positive. I am having to fix a leak in the plumbing of the pool they built (yes they built the pool), the HVAC system required me to spend $1600 to repair in just over a year old, landscaping problems, electrical problems, appliance problems (some of the appliances

My wife and I purchased a home from Kargar Homes in 2011, and it was an excellent experience. Mr. Kargar's philosophy is that he'd rather build a quality home than build it at all. As a result, our home includes many high-end features that would normally have been reserved for much larger homes, such as Beam/Electrolux Central Vacuum system and a HEPPA filtration system that reduces allergies.
Amy in the office was also helpful with a minor warranty item and always returns all my calls promptly -- something very important that I have not experienced from other builders. I recommend Kargar fully
