Huffman Heating & Cooling Inc. has been a family owned and operated business since 1948. Company founder Fred Huffman came to Rochester after his service in the Marines in WWII and established the company shortly thereafter. He built a loyal customer base, some of whom are still with us today. In the early days the majority of our service was on oil heating equipment.
Purchasing a new heating or air conditioning system can be overwhelming and confusing at times. We will try to make the process as smooth as possible for you. You can rely on our 60+ years of experience to guide you. When you're replacing your existing heating or air conditioning system, you can depend on us for reliable, efficient solutions that will last for years to come.
The new furnace is great. Now that it has been cold for a bit your can really tell a difference with the heat. We can even set our thermostat lower than what we had it set at with our old furnace and feel comfortable. Most of the time we don't even realize it is running (no more thumping a few minutes before the blower fan starts).

Our AC broke during heatwave (100 degree day). Called Huffman, got a call back within 30 minutes. Elliott (owner) said he had a full day, but was going to see if he could make room to fit us in. Sure enough, he was here a few hours later, took him minutes to figure out the issue, swapped out the part, and got it running quickly! Labor was super reasonable, especially considering the time of year. Super nice guy, very knowledgeable. We will now be using Huffman for our furnace and AC maintenance and issues.

We now have a new holiday! The day of the A.C. Install, June 30, 2020 by Huffman Heating and Cooling! Eliot was everything good: personable, professional, knowledgeable, proficient and every other adjective along these lines! His helper Wyatt, was also. And now we may never be seen again until fall!..Seriously, we highly recommend Huffman for heating or cooling work you need done. Out of all the people, over the 15 years we have owned our house, that we have hired for different improvements, Huffman's was the best in all aspects!

Great response time in an emergency- My furnace broke in the dead of winter - and Huffman came within two hours - before the temperature dropped below 40 ( it was bitter cold that day)- I only needed a part, he had it on hand and we were good to go......Owner was very professional, very helpful... and I have continued to use him
