We were searching around to convert our sand filter to a Jandy CL 580 Cartridge filter. I had a pool guy that I had been using on and off for years and wanted him to do the job. Unfortunately he came back with a price that was nearly $1,000 higher than he had quoted a year before.
I called a couple of places but did not feel comfortable with the response, or lack of when I asked for a quote. Then I called Nor Cal pools and that all changed. Ryan the owner answered, I told him the issues I've been having what I wanted to do and he was helpful and very quick to get a quote to me.

Here is my story:
We are renting a house in Livermore and have been here for 6 years. We have had 4 different pool services since we have been here. Now our pool isn't the easiest. Whom ever had the pool put in and planted these big pine trees near it weren't really thinking straight. The wind in Livermore is crazy and we have constant problems with these pine needles going into the pool and clogging all traps. We are now on our 3rd pool sweeper. I had given our landlord information to contact NorCal Pool Service because I have only heard good things about them, since our old pool service

NorCal Pool serviced pool pool and spa for 3 years. Ryan and team were always on top of things. We never had issues with the pool not being cleaned or the team leaving gates open equipment out. Over the 3 years we swapped out antiquated equipment, had our resurfaced and experienced 2 leaks. My husband unexpectedly passed away and I needed to handle a pool leak which was the last thing I wanted to do. I asked Home Advisor for quotes and Leah called and left a message. She was the only one who did that. The others emailed me. I finally called her back and she was more than helpful. She had someone come out in a couple of days to find the leak and a coupe of days later to fix it. She knew my situation and said she would do all the legwork so I could stay home and grieve. NorCal Pool has been servicing our pool for over a year. We feel they are always there when we have a question and their response time getting back to us is always prompt! Avery is always very courteous and doesn't seem to mind our dog Harley spraying him with water when occasionally leave him in the backyard on our service day! he's even happy to toss the ball for him!

Great service, very clean pool, always gets out all the leaves and brushes
down the pool. They regularly clean my filter and keep all the chemicals up to date. Lastly Ryan really knows pools and equipment. They fix whatever is broken, worn out or just needs replacement. I give them 100 stars.....so much better than previous pool service.

Ryan's firm was recommended as the best in the area at pool servicing by my pool installation contractor, Hacienda Pools. So far htey have lived up to their billing. Great service, responsive, and most importantly, the pool is always sparkling clean. What else can you ask for? They are invisible and everything always works and looks great. We are in Alamo. Not sure their service area, but I would definitely hire them again!

Used Norcal for the last 5 years. They keep my pool in operating order throughout the year. When something breaks, as it inevitably does, Ryan and his team take care of it. I recently moved into a home with a pool and had to have it replastered. Once it was replastered I contacted NorCal Pool Service for a Startup service. I was told the Startup for a newly plastered pool would be $700. According to the estimate, this included 2 weeks of chemicals to balance the water and brushing of entire surface 3 days per week M, W, F. Being a new pool owner and unaware of the costs associated with owning a pool I was naive and didn't do my homework. I have since learned that this price is excessive. Other Pool Service companies charge at least half that price. An expensive

Ryan was highly recommended by a neighbor. He came over to evaluate our pool system. I was having issues with pump flow and needed some tips for our small pool.
Ryan made himself available quickly and helped us out. He offered me tips on our system and replacement parts and helped me with understanding how everything worked. He didn't charge for the evaluation and didn't try to sell me on products or services. I appreciated that a lot, and if I ever want someone to service my pool, i'll be calling Ryan.

Love working with NorCal pools! Ryan is extremely friendly, responsive, and knowledgable. We purchased a brand new hot tub a few months back and our dealer was not very helpful with the water balancing and I got off to a rocky start. My local pool supply company was also of little help. They tried to sell me a lot of products and couldn't figure out why my pH kept rising so high. So I called NorCal pools and Ryan came out to fix the problems right away! NorCal Pool Service is excellent. We've worked with other local companies over the last 4 years and things always seemed to not be quite right with our pool. Ryan came out and fixed our filter issues right away. He's very friendly and attentive to the issues of our pool. He also Responds quickly to email. Only wish we'd found this company sooner.
