The main culprit in chimney breakdown is the acidic moisture that comes from condensed flue gases. This acidic moisture attacks the chimney from the inside. That is why a chimney may look good from the outside, but the inside can be a totally different story. I received good pre-sales support while I was trying to decide how to cap two side-by-side flues. I ended up buying one of the HY-C Shelter Pro stainless steel caps, and installed it on one of the flues to try it out. The installation instructions were clear and it was easy to install. The cap appears well-built and I would expect it to last a long time. I then bought another cap for the second flue. Buying and installing my own caps saved me $336 over what a professional installer would have charged me. Based on my experience I would recommend Rockford, and would be happy to do business with them

This is a great company and product. The customer service was remarkable. I contacted them before the sale to ensure all the information was accurate for my order and they were excellent and patient. They even provided a cell number of a tech to send photos to ensure the order was correct and then provided an update to the order. I installed the chase cover this weekend and it fit perfectly! I placed my order 19 Aug 19 for a stainless-steel chimney cover, cap and storm shield; started receiving the products end of August & early September. First, I had to put the products up and then I wanted to wait a month after a couple of hard rains before I did my review. The products are solid and currently because of the very snug & tight fit, I have not had to nail my cover down. But I am keeping my eyes open a hurricane. I might have to nail it down then. I have the drill & screws on standby. First, Dennis was excellent, I was able to send him pictures and he worked with me for the great product

In order to avoid having to get on the roof and paint the top of the galvanized chimney chase cover (annually) with aluminized paint to ensure that it didn't rust, I decided to replace the chase cover, storm collar, and rain cap with 304 stainless steel parts. A friend of mine had done the same thing using products from Rockford Chimney Supply, and he recommended them.
