Mike Hlavay is our President here at Sierra Valley. He started this company in 2003 after being in the HVAC trade for 10 years. Mike has committed his company and its employees to being experts in the field and building a company everyone can trust. In the rare moments when he is not working Mike enjoys spending time with his family and is a huge supporter of the 4H youth in his community.
The story of Sierra Valley Mechanical begins in 2002. After working for a decade in the HVAC trade for one of the "Big Guys" in town, Michael Hlavay founded the business under the original name of Sierra Valley Home Corp. A guest room in Mike's house was transformed into a home office and a 1970 Dodge truck became the service and installation fleet vehicle.

SVM and the team of Matt, Sara, Jordan, Skylyr & Eric M. performed an excellent and professional job while replacing our old HVAC system and installing a new whole house fan. They were so very clean and left my home in excellent condition. They were kind, knowledgeable, respectful of property and I would recommend them to anyone needing HVAC services.
Our new system cooled our home down in less than 45 minutes from the normal 3 - 4 hours it took with our old system. Jury is still out on the operation of the whole house fan and it's cooling properties. But this is by far a 5 star company with 5

I was told my compressor of my AC doesn't work by another company . They suggusted either change the compressor or replace outside unit which will cost between 2000 to 5500. It is lucky I called sierra Valley to get second opinion.(They helped me installed my office's AC in 2019 .They did very good job on that project .) They found out it is just capacities and some electrical issue.
They saved me thousands Dollars.

This is my second time using Sierra Valley Mechanical and both times I have been so pleased! My first experience with my AC was with Matt and he was professional and honest which is why I chose them again when I had issues with my Furnace.

After they helped make our old furnace run for the last few years by small repairs, we made the decision to replace the unit this year. We have been customers for nearly 6 years, between 3 houses... Sierra Valley has installed an air conditioner, furnace, repaired a different furnace, installed a tankless instant water heater, moved the air conditioner & furnace during a remodel, and are now in the process of installing a whole house generator for us!
