Richard's Paving is a locally owned paving and concrete contractor owned and operated by Richard McNeil. With over 15 years of experience servicing Central VA up to Northern VA we've established a reputation built on results, trust and quality work. We have a dedicated team of employees with the same desire and drive to serve you as, Richard, himself does.
Why is it necessary to sealcoat asphalt? The minute new asphalt is laid it's guaranteed to do 3 things; cure, oxidize and deteriorate. Protecting your pavement with sealcoating prevents the sun's UV rays from baking the oil out of the asphalt and turning a once flexible pavement brittle. Sealcoating also minimizes raveling (loss of aggregate) and fills minor voids in the surface.
Cracks in asphalt are not unusual. And neither is the deterioration of that surface if those cracks are left unattended. Unsealed cracks allow water to enter and deteriorate the subgrade from the surface. This will eventually lead to potholes, pavement deflection and, if left unmaintained, the eventual loss of the pavement system.

I needed someone to do an overlay on an existing asphalt driveway. Left them a message and Richard immediately called back. They ended up doing the work and did a great job. They were friendly and courteous family run business and did a very professional job. I would highly recommend them for driveway install or repair
