I had an awning installed last December. The men were very nice and did. A good job. however, when i tried to close it (roll it up) I found it extremely difficult to do so. I began calling 6 weeks ago for a technician to come and grease the bearings. I finally got an appointment after 6 weeks of calls. The technician never showed. I called and was told that's taahe office would check. And let me know if they were still planning to come, but she never called me back to tell me. When one calls the office the person on the phone promises to find out when an appt. can be had and to call

This place is so unprofessional. I had a scheduled appointment to take care of my back patio. They canceled at last minute and rescheduled on a day had to leave out of town. Cancel that trip and still didn't make the appointment. I regret doing business here. By the time it was finally taken care of it didn't meet the standards I was promised

Well... I should've read the reviews before we decided to move forward w/ them. There were too many mixed comments, and everything more recent is pretty much horrible. I have to take a little blame, as the dimensions changed once they finally came to install, but, the biggest complaint I have is absolute lack of communication. Once they have your money, that's all she wrote. I was told my project would take 2 weeks, and 2 weeks turned into 3 months. I tried to get a hold of someone, since I was never contacted, and I have to be honest, I don't think I would've ever been called

King Awnings needs to learn how to better communicate. We met with them and ordered 6 custom awnings. We paid for them on March 4, 2019. It was suppose to take no more than 4 weeks. It is now May 29, 2019 and we still do not have the awnings that have been promised to us. We have tried calling and emailing, no one is ever there nor can they return a call or email. Yes, I know it was my mistake to pay them in full in advance. Now I have to fight to get my money back. This is an unacceptable business practice.

WARNING... Never do business with King Awnings. They take your money and never finish the job with the time frame they quoted on the contract and you basically have to threaten the company to get your deposit back. The owner Ron quoted a $9,000 job for my business and was "Johnny On The Spot" to cash my check for the deposit of $4,500. I called him and sent e-mails about a dozen times to get the shop drawings and he had his staff call me to say he was out of town or in meetings. I own my own business and give my customers the respect to call them back. My job was quoted 4-6 weeks and

I wish I could give 0 stars, I have been looking for a company to come out to my home and give an estimate for Awnings for 4 windows. I wanted to get at least 2 different estimates so I got one from a company in Colton and was trying to get one from King Awnings. We were set up for an appt. on a Sat. at 11am in which they cancelled and said there'd be out at 1:30, no call no text no response when I called to find out where the hell they were, no answer. I love my new motorized retractable awning installed by King Awnings. It's the perfect addition to our backyard. It provides much needed shade but only when we want it. We were considering a fixed patio cover but we wanted to keep the space as open as possible.
Ron from King Awnings came out and gave us what we felt was a fair quote as we had shopped around and knew what we wanted. What my husband loves the most is the optional network adapter to run the Somfy motor from my phone and tablet. Just an App needed to be installed and the connection was easy.

I cant even give one star. First I have heard only good things about kings awnings. Then I made the phone call to get a awning not for me for my Dad. The phone call from the very beginning was rude. The secretary sounded put out because I did call. Then from there it just went down hill. I made the appt for my elderly Dad. He was very excited to be getting a new custom made awning. We set the appt for 10/22/18 at 1030am. Here we go Darren the sales rep. Didnt show or call we called. No one new of our appt. And once again rude. We kept calling Darren no answer we left numerous voicemails

Then the trouble began.
The install was scheduled for 10 days after we agreed to terms, but because of vaguely explained "delays" it got pushed back a week. Then on THREE SEPARATE OCCASSIONS Ron's poorly run office CANCELLED on me the day of the install. Two of those times they didn't even have the courtesy to call. I had to keep checking in, sometimes making 5 to 6 calls in one

Ron and his staff...including Rhonda who schedules work, John and Alberto who do the install--are AAA+ all the way. We needed some real sun protection for some long runs and they solved it all for us. Kings Awnings is as good as you can get. first class. totally professional installation, these workers know what they are doing. I was very impressed. they gave me a great deal on pricing the job to make it fly..Get Ron to come and do your set up, he will make it work..hope to work with them again. you dont need to go anywhere else!!

I had two massive motorized solar shades (aka drop shades) manufactured and installed in my home by Ron, Tony, and John from King Awnings. I needed a custom solution for my huge windows -- two side by side shades each measuring 15 feet tall by 7 feet wide, motorized and operable via an app on my phone. King Awnings met these needs.
Ron and John came to do an initial consultation and measurement. They sent me a few fabric swatches to choose from, but I wanted something else so I chose my own and Ron sourced it. A couple weeks later, John came to my house to install the shades.

Building a very unique project in South Coast Plaza, we we're challenged with a very unique awning application. After 3 attempts failed with other companies due to design concept to price or feasibility, I stumbled upon Ron and his staff at King Awning. After explaining my project to them on the very first phone call, she suggested that Ron and his head engineer come out to see the project. Ron was very quick in getting out to see our application. After 20 minutes, we had collectively come up with a solution that was not only viable, but cost effective.

I was very disappointed with the service I received from this company. I called and made an appointment for Monday, January 9th at 9:00am. On the 9th, at 9:20 am I phoned the office asking if the weather had anything to do with the person not showing up to give me an estimate. I was told that the computer of the sales representative was not functioning and he was unable to get the appointment in his books. First I want to say that I had an appointment with another awning company that is very popular in the south Bay Area. My appointment was cancelled. No call back, no follow up. I should have known better as a friend also called them and the owner showed up late, rushed us, and had a demeanor as if he didn't care about customer service.
Then... I found King awnings. Boy am I glad I did!
They were professional, took their time explaining things, and super friendly. My awning looks amazing!
