Originating as a department within a small lumberyard chain in New Plymouth, Idaho, Overhead Door Company of Southwestern IdahoTM, a division of Overhead Door, Inc., began serving the area of Southwestern Idaho in 1953. The business service area expanded into the Boise area and incorporated in 1962.
A true family business, growth continued with the addition of Lewiston in 1978, and Twin Falls and Sun Valley in 1983. Growth continued in the 90's with the addition of the Spokane and Northern Idaho markets. Currently we have nine branch offices located in Hailey, Boise, Lewiston, New Plymouth, Nampa, Post Falls, Twin Falls, and Spokane, Washington.
Our philosophy is that service and repair work is the highest priority and having multiple locations and a sizable fleet of service vehicles allows us to cover this large geographical area with the best response time in the business.

My garage door would not open as I was headed out to pick up my kindergartner from school with my (crying) infant in the car. A neighbor helped figure out the spring had broken (which explained the loud sound I had heard earlier in the day).
The house was a new build and the garage door is only 2 years old; the spring should have lasted 8+ years. Luke and his partner came to my home on Aug 13 to replace a rubber strip at the bottom of the door. Once they completed that, they proceeded to check every aspect of both my roll up doors and made several small adjustments because they heard minor squeaks they wanted to eliminate. They then proceeded to lube all points of both doors to ensure smooth and quiet operation.
I never mentioned any squeaks or complained of any other issues, they simply recognized small issues and addressed them.
Both men were very professional and knowledgeable. They worked well together and cleaned up after themselves

Had a snafu in my 2 year old garage door opener so called Overhead (they hadn't sold or installed) after the original company wasn't responding. We had a service representative the next morning who repaired the problem and proactively serviced both devices, including lubricant for the chains. Very happy.

Our garage door broke on a Saturday afternoon and we were stuck at home the rest of the day and Sunday. Promptly at 8am we called for help. We had a call back from the tech within 15 minutes and he arrived by 9am. He diagnosed our door's problem and proceeded to repair the door. He was done before 10. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I did not give 5 stars because he did not wear a mask and didn't make an effort to put one on when hubby and I went to greet him wearing masks. If he had made the effort to wear a mask, this would be a 5 star review.

I had a few panels of my existing garage doors replaced, including glass windows for the top panels. I made an appointment with a sales person. He came out when he said he would, told me what they could do, gave me a price, and he ordered the new panels. When the new panels came in, a lady called up to schedule the install, with very little flexibility in dates. As it was, I was out of town when it was scheduled, so my wife had to deal with the installation. A cable broke on one of the garage doors when they were installing the new panels and they had to come back a few days later to replace

I had Pat come by today to help me out with my garage door. He was awesome, as it turned out to be an embarrassingly small fix that took him seconds to see and fix. He was really nice about it though and explained how to make sure it doesn't happen again. He didn't even charge me for his visit. If there's ever another issue with our garage doors I will definitely use this company again!

Overhead Door is a wonderful, and honest company! Our garage door recently started malfunctioning and we were not sure if we needed to replace the entire door and motor. We have a 90s house, and the door seems to be original. I had reached out to Overhead for a quote and appointment request and they got back to me same day, with a date to come out that fit our work schedules. Once a technician came out, they thought it only needed a quick servicing but once they examined it further, they determined that we only needed a new motor, which was actually a relief, since we were thinking the door would

Overhead Door came out today and replaced my Garage Door System. Two guys came out, got the work done in less then a hour, and we're very professional. I am very happy with their work. I got a 1 year warranty through their company and a five year manufacturer's warranty. I only wished I had used them 11 months ago. Spent the same amount of money 11 months ago with Garage Door Medics and it broke. They did not offer any warranty for their work. If I would have went with Overhead door in the first place I would have saved a lot of time and money. I recommend Overhead Door to everyone

Our garage door broke yesterday. I called the company this morning and they said they'd have someone come out tomorrow or even possibly today if a technician finished early. Around 2pm I received a call from the company stating that a technician is available today. Travis came out, replaced both of the door's cables and springs as well as a few hinges in about an hour. Less than $200 all together! Very happy with the company, their communication, price, and the quality of their employees.

Wow! My garage door springs broke and the service I received from this company was awesome. They have after hour emergency services and Saturday service. AND when you have a smiley face windsock waiting for spring the wonderful staff of this fine company will make sure it is putting on the best display it can from a cold garage.
It was so great to get my car out of the garage. It was even better to leave the house. It was absolutely priceless to see the garage light smiling at me when I got back.

Overhead was the second Company I called to repair garage door the first did not want to repair but replace the garage door. Overhead came out very quick and repaired quickly at a fair price. Next time Overhead will be the first Company I call.

I'm helping my mother fix her house up. 4 years ago "Overhead Door" replace one of the garage doors putting in a new garage door motor, fast forward today it's still in great condition and have had no issues with it. So today I asked her what company she used Bc the 2nd garage quit working, the spring snapped. I called at 10 am and asked if they could have a repair guy come at 2:30. The repair guy came exactly at 2:30 and did his work effectively around the household items we were storing in the garage.

About 6 mos ago, sporadically our garage door started acting up and doing the double door reversing so we had the original company who installed (not Overhead) come to evaluate the situation. After their review/adjusted pressure and mentioned the system is getting old and recommended if the problem continues replacing.
After dealing with the frustrating problem for a few more months, decided to obtain a 2nd opinion and found Overhead Door through Yelp. Kevin (Tech) came out the same day we called, identified and fixed the issue. It has been a few days since and the door has not had a single problem
