Ronaldo Vaz was first introduced to the world of hardwood floors when he was a young man. Ronaldo worked closely with his brother and nephew for a few years, but it wasn't until 2009 that he decided to open his own business. He combined his love for hardwood floors with his experience and entrepreneurial skills, and that's how Vaz Hardwood Floors was founded.
Ronaldo and his entire team at Vaz Hardwood Floors are professional, courteous, responsive, punctual and diligent. Paul, who created our beautiful hardwood floor color, and his team, were extremely helpful and patient with me in picking out my stain. They mixed several different shades of grey for me to choose from, and continued to create new mixtures until I found the perfect one.
At Vaz Hardwood Floors, we use only the highest quality products for your new floor, from the wood we install to the polyethylene coat that makes it shine. We will even give your floor a full 3 coats of finisher, while other companies only offer 2. Each project is priced out by solely by square foot, instead of an hourly rate.
Unfinished hardwood flooring is "raw" wood that is installed prior to being stained and coated. Because everything is done on-site, the entire process generally takes longer than with pre-finished flooring. This is because of the extra time that is needed for sanding, staining, and applying of varnish.

I honestly don't know of a time I have worked with a company for work on my house where everything went so smoothly. But Vaz Hardwood met al our expectations and then some! They are hard workers, they did a fantastic job with our hardwood floors, and they communicated to us very well. I highly recommend using this company for work you need on your house.

Vaz Floors just left my house yesterday and they were wonderful. Ronaldo was recommended to me by one of my neighbors. He is a great guy and his employees are all very professional. They did a terrific repair job on a challenging entryway. No one can tell where the bad floor was, everything matches really well. Vaz was very reasonable, and Ronaldo and his crew are perfectionists!

We couldn’t be happier with our floor! We got new hardwood in our living room and had our kitchen, dining room & entry refinished to match. It is absolutely beautiful! Ronaldo & his wife were great with communications. There were no hidden expenses & they finished on schedule. Isadora provided us with a fee schedule & an exact timeline of each step. Ronaldo’s teams were efficient & courteous. It is such a hardship having your kitchen disabled, but they made it as painless as possible. Would I hire them again? Absolutely? Would I recommend them to my friends & family? Without a doubt!

VAZ Hardwood Floors helped us achieve getting our main level all hardwood like we have been wanting since we moved in to our house. They took up all the old carpet in living room and dining room, refinished our existing hardwood and added new hardwoods to those two rooms and installed it all together seamlessly. We had red oak existing, and had red oak added to match, and went with blend of 50/50 natural clear and weathered gray stain, which eliminated the 'orangish' look but also tied in perfectly with our existing cabinets and railings so we would not be forced to re-do those right away. I don't leave reviews very often but after having such a hard time deciding on which company I should hire I have to share my experience with Vaz Hardwood Floors. I called their office to schedule an estimate and Ronaldo came to my place two days later, he was very professional and knowledgeable and send me over a quote on the next day. We agreed on the price quoted but I was very worried about the demo/dust part, and I'm glad to say the installation/sanding wasn't near as bad as I thought it would be. We had Ronaldo come in and install hardwood floors throughout our house and on our stairs. The crew did an excellent job at explaining what they were doing and how it was going to be done. They tore out all the old carpet, vinyl and laminate flooring and fixed all the squeaks. My wife and i went on vacation as they were doing the final sanding and staining. We gave Ronaldo a key to the house without any concerns whatsoever. We returned from vacation with the most beautiful floors. We had Ronaldo come out to look at our hardwood floors and give us an estimate...we had three other company’s give us estimates as well and Vaz had the most reasonable pricing so we went with them! The company also did my parents and neighbors house so I was excited that I had seen their work and they had good pricing. The whole crew was easy to work with as we had their text numbers so we could contact them while we away. Half of our floors had carpet ripped up that needed to be refinished and the other half of the house had to have three holes cut out for a foundation repair. Vaz made the floor
