Texas Traditions Roofing began as a shared calling between two brothers-in-law. Mike Pickel and Gary Emory decided to take their strengths and start a roofing company that would focus on giving their clients a positive roofing experience and giving back to their community in the process. As a local roofing contractor, we are an experienced and highly professional team focused on serving with good, old-fashioned core values.
As President, he focuses on the strategic direction of the company and oversees all business operations. Gary graduated from Baylor University, studying business and finance. He got his start by serving in various positions of management and executive leadership roles in the technology services industry for 14 years.
In the roofing industry, material manufacturers need to ensure that their products are being installed correctly to deliver optimal performance and provide the highest level of protection for your home or your commercial building. In fact, they won't issue a warranty for your roof unless it has been installed by a certified contractor.

Wes was incredibly patient with me, taking the time to answer all my questions and had many.
We are fully insured (General Liability, Umbrella Liability, Worker's Compensation, and Auto). We do not put you at risk. There is a lot more to roofing than driving nails. Often we find structural damage than needs attention before new roofing products can be installed. If you cover up old shingles, you miss the chance to inspect and examine your base roof for damages which may cost you even more money in the future.

Texas Traditions did a superb job when I needed my metal roof replaced after a hail storm. The superintendents, Brooks and Gerald, and the crews were very professional and easy to work with. They were extremely detail oriented and my roof now is simply gorgeous! I had a serviceable metal roof before. Now I have a real statement piece for my roof. I honestly did not know what a good metal roof looks like. Now I do! I could not be happier with their work.

Just wanted to update the review now that the entire Job is finished. I was not asked to write the review. I just think this is a great local company that provided a superb professional service at a competitive price. There was no upselling, the quote was provided with in a couple of days with all the details of material and labor cost. They can work with the insurance in my case there was no need for that. I sent the quote to the insurance before accepting Texas traditions to do the roof work.
My Texas traditions adviser and inspector was Connor Guthrie.

My experience with Connor as a consultant was wonderful. He inspected what I thought might be a problem and was reassuring that I had nothing to worry about. I thought for sure I was going to have to replace part of my roof because of possible side effect of our winter storm and hail storm. But thankfully Connor said that he didn't think I had anything to worry about. He explained that the builder had used the correct material when putting on the roof.
Because of his honesty he saved me some money when he could have very easily told me that I needed to replace it.

I used Texas Traditions roofing to replace our roof for hail damage and the work was done in sept 2021. Being honest, I was a little frustrated at times about the sales person and roofers during installation...I wish the roofers could be more protective for our new backyard patio during roof installation. however the superintendent Brooks really saved the day for us. Brooks is very responsive, professional and knowledgeable. Brooks is the best, he is there when we had questions or issues during and after roof installations, he is always there to help to resolve the issues promptly.

Overall, not a 5 star experience. The people who work at the company seem very nice and responsive, but their contractors did sloppy work on the drip edge and left lots of small roof trash and scraps around our yard. Also, the job isn't done and we still don't have gutters and they're invoicing me asking to be paid $20k plus for an unfinished job, not appropriate.

Very positive experience with Texas Traditions. We had hail damage and needed it replaced. Most companies just want the insurance estimate and throw their sign in the yard. Texas Traditions doesn’t operate that way. They provided a quote when others wouldn’t so we could see what they were going to do. We threw them a curveball as well because of some pergola work that not installed correctly by previous owners. Superintendent Brooks went out his way to fix correctly. Have had wonderful experience with Texas Traditions and the Roof Inspector that came out to two of my properties. Angela Ramsey is great to work with and was a former insurance adjuster so has helped me and my clients out in different situations.
