Homa Oriental Rugs has been providing beautiful handmade rugs to the greater Seattle area and throughout the United States since 1986. Quality, service, and loyalty to our customers has always been our main goal so when we opened our doors nearly thirty years ago we focused on antique and semi-antique pieces, believing then that old rugs offered the best quality, longevity, and beauty.

All the small area rugs in our 2'x3' section are hand woven and the majority of the rugs are woven with hand carded, hand spun wool, and vegetable dyes in traditional rug producing countries like Iran, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Nepal, Tibet and Turkey. Each rug is individually knotted with lots of attention and effort placed in the quality of wool, dyes, weave and design with the right colors combination to produce beautiful, unique rugs.
The rug categories in this section are: traditional, modern, transitional(rugs with traditional and modern design motifs), tribal, kilims (flatweaves), antique rugs and runners. We are a hand knotted rug store, our rugs are hand woven and a great majority are woven with hand spun wool and vegetable dyes.

This store has a wonderful selection of high quality rugs. The staff/owners are SO patient. They let us take home several rugs to try. Unfortunately they were not what we were looking for but we will definitely go back to look again and would love to support their business. Highly encourage anyone to try them if you are looking for a Persian or other oriental rug.

Homa Rugs is the best oriental rug dealer in Seattle. Over the many years that I've lived here, I've visited all the rug dealers in town, but most have disappointed me. Nearly 25 years ago I discovered Homa at its old corner location, south and across 1st Ave. from where it is now. I was immediately impressed (and continue to be impressed) by the high quality and variety of the rugs in its inventory. The staff are very helpful, knowledgeable, and never pushy. They work with their customers to help them make the right choices. The rug repair and cleaning services are also excellent. All

I love these guys. It's hard to figure out who is legit when it comes to rugs, as it seems the industry draws some shady folks. This family is the real deal. They have wonderful rugs, even better customer service, and absolutely no pretension. I've purchased three rugs from them. I've always been honest and clear about my needs and my (limited) budget, and they've always found just the right thing. When I win the lottery, I'm going to go back and fill my whole place with their fanciest rugs, and then buy them something lovely as thanks for being the warm and helpful folks

What a great place! 5 stars for customer service. Even though we didn't end up buying from them (they just didn't have what we were looking for) they spend an hour with us explaining the difference in wools and weaves. They are having a going out of business sale now (the owner is retiring) so it's a great time to buy if you're in the market for a fine rug.
