Because it was more cost effective, we shipped this rug to our workshop in Turkey where our experts worked on it for about two weeks.

Mr. Solak recently repaired my old antique Persian carpet that was unraveling at both ends. He did a wonderful job of securing both ends and fixing the warps so that they were even. My carpet looks beautiful and is no longer coming apart. Mr. Solak very graciously dropped the carpet off at my home after it was repaired. I couldn't be happier.

I inherited several rugs from my mother and had no idea what was what and so, I looked for someone who specializes in cleaning and repair and wow, do I feel lucky to be living close to one of the most knowledgeable specialist that I can imagine! Mehmet was very professional, very experienced, easy to work with, and honest. He was extremely helpful in explaining where each rug was from and the type of workmanship, what was worth repairing and what was not, etc. When it came to cleaning and repair, he did a fantastic job in a reasonable amount of time and everything looks great. Very knowledgeable and helpful expertise. What I learned from Mr. Solak enabled me to decide to spend *nothing* on my '50's era wool Persian rugs because their value didn't warrant extensive work and expense. He demonstrated for me -- on the sidewalk out side of his business location -- how to effectively get rid of dust before attempting to wash the rugs myself. He also said, as we talked in March, to wait until August to wash them because quick drying is better for the fibers. The loomed rug material and the seams were starting to look a little worn and I didn't want it to deteriorate any more - I also wanted to be able to use it without damaging it more.
Mehmet restored it back to a functional, solid bag. He was even able to devise a way to fulfill my wish of increasing the stability of the bag.
I wanted it to stand upright and open when set on a surface and he added beautiful
