Services
Kelly is a licensed pesticide applicator and operator in the states of Oregon and Washington. He oversees all aspects of the business including compliance and technical training. Kelly is laser-focused on leading the company in a way that is in keeping with his grandfather's and father's focus on the customer.
The Pacific NW is a perfect habitat for rats to thrive in. In the Pacific Northwest we have two primary species of rats: The Common or Norway Rat (Rattus Norvegicus) and the Black Rat (Rattus-Rattus), also referred to as the Roof Rat, Ship Rat, or House Rat. Cockroaches are prolific and adapt extremely well to the environment in which they live.
My father, and my father's father trained me to effectively identify pest management problems and take care of them for our customers. Our residential customers receive the same quality service and performance we deliver to our commercial customers. Your home is typically one of the largest investments you and your family will make.
While our primary focus is the Portland-Metro/SW Washington areas, we are currently seeking opportunities to grow into other nearby markets. For instance, we are evaluating new opportunities to serve the people and businesses in the Columbia River Gorge such as Hood River and The Dalles. Kelly and his team did a fantastic job for me last year and earlier this year. His thoroughness, professionalism, and quality of work left a good impression in my mind.
1. Last year I had a really bad carpenter ant problem. He explained to me exactly how he intended to treat it, and how carpenter ants spread their colonies (some develop wings and can fly). He explained what I could expect and even explained how the chemical he uses is safe for pets and kids!
2. Earlier this year, I called Shrum's again to help, this time for squirrels that were burrowing in my attic.

I was in search of a pest control company for a real estate transaction. I used Yelp to find someone reputable. I had another company and also Shrum's come up for a suggestion. James got back to me right away. The other company, 3 days later. James got the job done quickly, effectively and with reasonable rates.
