Mike and Gayle Janssen started MJ Excavating in 1980. 40 years later, three generations are working together to build your perfect backyard pool. At MJ Excavating & Pool Construction we believe a job done right is the best reward. Your backyard should be an oasis where family and friends can enjoy those hot summer days.
Phone consultation is where you start speaking with one of our design experts. You will get a good understanding of the size and scope of your project. During our initial conversation, we will want to discuss your budget and time frame of construction. The second step is a site review at your residence, where we will measure your yard, review your site's conditions, and discuss putting together a pool design that fits your budget.
A pool can be a big expense all at once. A typical pool with the right plumbing, tile, plaster, and equipment can cost about $65,000. If that's a bit too much for your budget MJ Excavating & Pool Construction offers financing that can get you swimming for as low as $389 a month (with approved credit).

We had a shed delivered and because of all the rain this year we still had a lot of mud, and they couldn't get the shed on the pad, so it was sitting in my driveway. We called MJS, and even though their season was over they offered to come out and see it they could help. They came out that day, and 2 days later came out and fixed the problem. They did a wonderful job putting in a stone ramp up to the pad, they even moved some big rocks and debris around the site and cleaned it up.
While they were here they also put risers on our septic system, something we had been waiting for another

These guys did a great job and couldn't recommend them more. I decided to do owner builder on my pool and they lined me up to succeed. I was able to get it completed start to finish in 38 days. They were very knowledgeable and helped me make decisions that I otherwise might have regretted. They have a great crew of guys and they were all very respectful and patient with us.

MJ and his team helped build our pool!! They were extremely helpful, kind and responded to calls/texts/messages promptly!! Our pool turned our beautiful. When we had a concern from the Gunite guy Mike dripped what he was doing and came to our house to make sure everything was right, and it was!!! I highly recommend MJ!!! Two of our neighbors are getting their pool done by MJ based on our experience, that's how good they are!!!!!
