Services
Everyone on our team is a musician. Some of the things we like to brag about is having a completely organized office. While Tik, that's me, is mostly in the office, I do help the crew with moving pianos up and down stairs, but all of our piano moves are on our Google calendar and we also keep them automated on a spreadsheet.
We do not resell pianos that we accept to recycle. You are free to come and pick up any pianos we have for free or we can move the piano to your home for our normal rates. You can come and test the pianos here, when we have some in stock, look around and compare the sound from one to another. At the moment we are not getting many nice pianos in, but you never know, and we have a waiting list.
If your piano has served it's purpose and you need to arrange it to be removed, we charge $250 (in the Denver area) to come and remove your instrument and if there is a flight of stairs involved, there may be an extra fee. We are sorry you can no longer keep your old piano. Hopefully, we can give the piano to a family or someone who needs a piano.

Only positive things to say about Tik and the guys at Mountain Piano Moving. I was in a bind needing to get my upright into our home and didn’t feel good about any other piano moving company I talked to. Tik was responsive, easy to talk to, and showed up on short notice to get it done for me so my piano wouldn’t be in the cold garage even one more day. They were able to pick it up for us on very short notice and store it overnight to deliver to us the next day. If I could give Mountain Piano more stars, I would!! We have a square grand piano that was built in the 1800s and is heavy and difficult to move and they treated it like it was their own. They were friendly, professional, and experienced and took the upmost care in moving the piano from our house in Commerce City all the way to Hartsel (which included multiple sets of stairs, washboard roads, and a tight fit through the front door). Once they got the piano in place, they still took the time to check that everything was working great and made adjustments to get the keys working correctly.

I cannot say enough about this company. They’re professional, polite, timely and they did an excellent job of being careful with our piano and ensuring they were careful to not scratch any of the walls. We had Keith & Derek move our piano and they were awesome!
Our daughter will be taking the piano in a year and we WILL be calling them back in a year to move it again.

We had a small move, just across the house while we re-carpeted that space. The guys were great. They called to ensure they had the time right, kept me up to date as they traveled to us, and did a perfect move. I highly recommend.

We did a complete renovation of our condo. Last July Mountain Piano came and packed up the 5 Ft grand and moved it to another part of the condo. 3 months ago, they came and moved it again so we could do flooring. Just this month when the remodel was done, they returned and moved the piano back to the living area and set it up. Tik and his staff were professional, took great care in moving the piano 3 separate times, and the price was very reasonable. And they were always on time! Use these guys with confidence!!

We have moved our upright grand piano several times. Every time the movers complain about how heavy it is, and I'm so anxious they are going to break it that I can't even watch. After Mountain Piano Moving, I will never go back. They made moving the piano look like a walk in the park. We had the piano moved from inside the old house to inside the new house (5 blocks away) in less than an hour. Highly, highly recommend. Thank you!!!

I just had these gentlemen move my spinet piano from Parker to Centennial. 'Tik' was very pleasant, possessing outstanding communication skills, calling to confirm and reconfirm our appointment time while offering to be very flexible with our meet time. The two gentlemen (I call them gentlemen due to the way they handled the piano).
The two, without me asking, performed a quick assessment of the piano's condition- Valuable information for me to know, since I was in the process of purchasing it. They even showed up at our meeting place within 5 minutes of our appointment time!

These guys are extremely experienced, safe, methodical, professional, and friendly. I hope we never have to move my son's piano again, but if we upgrade to a nicer piano, I would only consider Mountain Piano Moving and without hesitation. First of all, another piano moving company cancelled on me with just a day to spare, and I called Mountain Piano Moving who I'd initially called and Tick fit in my piano move on the day I needed it moved. I very rarely write reviews - good or bad - but my experience with Tick, Keith, and Brian was phenomenal. Not only were they super responsive, but their attention to detail and their expert knowledge about pianos (including our Steinway grand) was great.
I initially went with this company for a local CO piano move after reading another review about how everyone is an owner. This is in contrast to piano movers we had in Chicago who in retrospect, were a bunch of young guys who just happened to work for a piano moving company. Great experience using these guys! They showed up on time and were very meticulous and careful preparing to move the piano. They have the right tools for the job and know how to treat your piano with care. I would never move any piano of mine without having specific experienced piano movers do it. These guys fit the bill!

This was the most professional set of movers I have ever come across. They moved a piano of my girlfriends to one her friends place and it wasn't easy. 15-20 steps, 800-900 lbs and two guys. They paid attention to every detail to make sure there was zero damage to anything. Calm and meticulous at every turn. I'm grateful there are people still like this in the business. It's a quality over quantity game for them and it shows. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Fantastic piano moving experience. The movers were very careful with our piano, clearly very experienced, and the price was reasonable. They went out of their way to schedule our move with another in the general area so that we wouldn't have to pay as much for their travel time from Denver. The owner, who was on our move, is also a really nice person and we enjoyed talking with him (after he carried our heavy piano down a long flight of stairs).

These guys were fantastic. I called them needing next day pick up and delivery and they were communicative, helpful, didn't overcharge me (I had called several other companies who were charging way more), and took good care of the piano I had them move. I even told them the wrong thing about some steps at my house (just because I had just moved in and didn't remember a couple details) and they didn't charge me more for the steps. Very friendly and also gave me a recommendation for a tuner. Definitely use them!
