Rick Dotson started his career building custom homes with his father in the 1970s. Dotson learned most of what he knows about the construction and remodeling of homes during this time, gaining knowledge about the industry from the ground up. From there, Dotson transitioned to the insurance industry, concentrating on restorations of fire or water damaged homes.

We used Rick's Oregon Builders operation to do a fairly straight forward bathroom remodel this winter. I found Rick and those he sub-contracted to be considerate and professional with great quality output. COVID made the supply chain difficult at times and caused some larger hoops to jump through, but Rick always did so. I would hire Rick again in a heartbeat.

If you're looking for a contractor and can't figure out who to hire, you've found your company. We hired Rick for a complete kitchen remodel (down to the studs) and are thrilled with the results. Not only does Rick operate in the most professional manner possible, but every subcontractor that he brought in treated our home as if it was theirs. No detail is left untouched, the mark of a true craftsman.

I recently contracted with Rick Dotson to build a one bedroom apartment attached to my daughter’s house for my wife and myself including ADA considerations. He presented a cost proposal based on my rough plan making appropriate suggestions. He built to the approved design and completed the project at the agreed upon price. The apartment blended seamlessly into the house. Since I live out of the area I relied on his effective and timely communication, follow through on my questions and suggestions, and his attention to detail as he supervised the project with his excellent subcontractors.

Rick and Ethan , Oregon Builders and Restoration did a kitchen remodel for us 2016/2017, also were helpful in securing excellent contacts for a complete replacement of our homes carpet. We just had a shower/bathroom project completed by Oregon Builder & Restoration and couldn’t be happier. We have had a number of home/yard projects done through the years and I would say this was our most pleasant and satisfying one. Throughout the project there was great communication, guidance and follow through. Rick was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. We were thrilled with the outcome and are already trying to figure out how to get them back for a kitchen project. We will definitely recommend them to our friends and family.

Rick Dotson at Oregon Builders and Restoration Restored my second home in the Mt Hood area that had caught on fire and gutted the entire middle of the house. He did an amazing job of ridding the house of smoke damage and restored it to better than original. He even discovered an overhead weight-bearing beam that was installed incorrectly by the builders and replaced it To match building codes. He did a wonderful job and I am hiring him for another job on my home kitchen. Thank you Rick and Oregon Home Builders! Susan

When new visitors come to our home and ask to use the restroom, the response is always the same. "Your bathroom is beautiful." They especially love the walk in shower. Several people have taken pictures, and a plumber friend said he is planning on copying the ideas from our shower for a new one in his own home.
