Bartwood came highly recommended to me by the mold testing company that confirmed our house was full of toxic mold. Previous to hearing about Lori, we were told that we would likely lose ALL of our soft goods (fabric covered furniture, mattresses, rugs, drapes, coats, thick clothing, stuffed animals, etc). Then we were told about Lori and her expertise with mold remediation.

The workers were courteous but weren't very good. Bartwood was the recommended contractor from my home owner's insurance. They did the installation of the cabinets ok, but completely missed the mark on installing my dishwasher. Now my dishwasher door just drops and it is leaking.

Bartwood came to our rescue. Our insurance company initially sent out another contractor who took a year to systematically destroy our house. Fortunately Nationwide stood by their referral and brought in Bartwood to repair our cabinets. They came out promptly, gave us a quote, showed up when they said they would, and did excellent work. It was a huge sigh of relief to actually have someone who knows what they are doing follow through with their promises. I was hesitant to have them do the entire scope because of our previous contractor, but I wish I had. I would absolutely recommend Bartwood.

This review is long overdue. Bartwood did a beautiful job on my condo remodel. I was reminded of this when I had to call them today to ask questions about my electrical and water heater.
Even though 2 years have passed since completing their work they still treated me like my project was important and followed up with me right away. Their work has held up with no issues and I've received so many compliments on it.

Lori and everyone at Bartwood went above and beyond to help me during a very stressful time. Getting your things decontaminated from mold and moving and throwing half of your things away is not a fun experience but Lori was able to answer all my questions all along and tailor a plan to me that worked. I had a flood in my downstairs bathroom, Bartwood Construstion was my contractor, they did an amazing job always on time, always cleaned up. I would definitely recommend them. Edgar, Paul, Josh and Scott was the team that handled the work. Sometimes it was a bit of a Comedy show which to me was great, it was very stressful and to have such fun workers around who really seem to enjoy their job made the process eaiser.

Bartwood is a great, local company that does superior work both regarding emergency home repair and also the cleaning of personal items that have been damaged by smoke or fire. We had a small fire and they completely cleaned the smell, repaired the kitchen, replaced the appliances, and left the place cleaner than before. I was so pleased with Bartwood's handling of my possessions! Ricky was helpful many times over the 22 months it took to put my house back together, and the crew that brought my possessions back was incredibly helpful and careful. They even put little anti-scratch feet on all my furniture.
It's impossible to get everything perfect when packing up an entire household, but these guys came pretty darn close. A monumental task performed VERY well.

I can't say enough about Bartwoods customer service. After getting home from a long work day, I had gone out to the garage to get my laundry done. When I walked out I noticed that water was all over the floor near my washing machine. Of course, I assumed it was coming from the washer when I realized it was coming from under the concrete. My husband turned off the water and we called our insurance company. They instructed us to call out a plumber and an emergency service company to complete the dry down process. When the plumber arrived he confirmed that it was a post tension slab leak.

Bartwood is an amazing company - the owner, Lori, is extremely knowledgeable and was able to answer all my questions, no matter how stupid or redundant. They were patient in allowing us to make decisions and helped us through the process. These guys are the worst. Stay away. I had water damage in my kitchen and my insurance selected these jokers. I had 2-3 project managers because they kept quitting from the company. They messed up the first time they tried refinishing my floor and had to redo it again. The project took FOREVER. They also messed up in the countertops they had installed and had to replace those again. Lastly, they did not apply any butcher block oil or sealant to the countertops and I had to hire a new contractor to do that.
These guys are a disaster. Stay far far away.

Wow! These guys are a pleasure to deal with. Scott was our project manager and not only was he on site managing, he pitched in and did work too. Once the work was done and they were paid, my husband noticed a couple of places that needed a little more touch-up. Having dealt with previous construction companies, we thought it probable that nothing would be done.
WRONG. The came by, did the little finish work and they did it timely, too. I recommend them whole-heartedly. (And by the way, the quality of their work was outstanding and they even cleaned up after themselves!)

One morning we woke up to our water heater cracked and water all over our garage. Our insurance deployed Bartwood for clean-up and then to set everything back the way that it was before.
At first our experience with Bartwood was wonderful. The team they sent out to dry the garage and test for mold was expert, diligent and then knowledgeable. They cut a hole in our dry wall to make sure that water hadn't seeped where it wasn't supposed to and they set up huge fans for a 3 day period to dry out the soaked carpet that the previous owners had put in. If your insurance company gives you a choice on what contractor you can use, please try to go with another company. The team at Bartwood Contruction was very professional and responsive the few weeks. They immediately came in to demo our kitchen June 16th, then we sat for 5 weeks with a kitchen that was barley fictional, no stove, flooring dishwasher, etc. We had a water leak (dishwasher) in our kitchen, so the cabinets and flooring had to be replaced.
