Extremely unreliable. Called and told me 5min before my move they were getting food - I lived in mount Vernon triangle DC there is 50 restaurants by me. I hear back 1 hour later they're waiting on their food. 2 hours later the boss calls me and says they can't make it. At 10pm at night I had to find another moving service. Terrible communication I called so many times and they never picked up

I used Action Moving to move out of my condo this past weekend and I was very happy with how the entire process went. They had the most competitive quote of all the moving services that I found, and scheduling my move was very easy, even on short notice.
A team of two showed up and were able to start my move 30 minutes ahead of schedule. The guys were both careful and efficient in moving my furniture out. I explained what I wanted in the beginning, and after that they didn't interrupt me with much follow up. They were also respectful and pleasant to work with.

Action Movers did an excellent job moving the contents of our home across the city. Everyone, from the women in the office to Adam, the estimator to our moving day crew, Jason, Nick, Cirillo & Josh we’re extremely professional, positive and easy to work with. Not only was the moving crew on time, they hustled all day long, were pleasant and friendly, were careful with our belongings as well as our homes, and finished the job within the estimated timeframe. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a moving company!

Debated on moving stuff myself vs using a moving company and happy with my decision! Solid moving company with affordable rates. Initially was hesitant to book based upon the previous reviews but had a relatively seamless experience. Pricing is flat rate and reasonable, some bigger companies on Yelp try to nickel and dime us DC peeps, smh. My Flat screen TV was perfectly functional with no evidence of mishandling, like some of the reviews have stated before.

The guys were fantastic! They did an excellent job at moving all my stuff. We actually had 3 stops and they were very fair in what they charged. I would really recommend them! I had been overly charged in the past but these guys were really nice and decent. I would completely recommend them since they are very professional!

They packed our stuff very unprofessionally. Some items such as expensive electronics and pictures from my children's childhood were destroyed because they were placed in big boxes with other things like heavy statues with sharp edges or containers with liquid in them - while they were not wrapped... things leaked to each other and made a mess. This made a lot of small parts break or get destroyed. This all happened while we had asked for packing and moving and paid a good amount of money- on a cost per

These guys are AWESOME! Before using Action, I've had terrible experiences with other movers people who kicked my boxes and didn't have any patience ... These guys get FIVE STARS! Tural and Bak were very patient and listened to my directions, and were willing to work with me on whatever I needed. Plus I didn't have to hover over the reassembling of the beds. Fast responses and flexibility on timings are the reason I chose them in the first place. Thanks and will use again!

I was not at the pickup location for the furniture and the movers didn't have any problem finding the guy who was going to show them which furniture to move (it was coming from an estate sale), which is what I was worried about. It made it much easier for me than having to drive to the pick up area and then drive back. Two movers were also very friendly.

I can't give zero stars so one will have to do. Communication was poor in setting up the booking but when we finally got on the same page the team arrived on time and ready to work. They moved quickly and efficiently, even when I had to leave early, they handled locking up my house. But that evening I noticed a broken piece of furniture, I contacted the company and they refused to respond, I kept calling and emailing. Finally they responded, they refused to claim responsibility for the damage, even though NO ONE ELSE had handled the furniture and they refused to compensate me for the depreciated

Moving is a tough job both for the homeowners and the movers. These folks did a great job. A walk through estimate was given (on the high side).
Boxes are free to use and return, a big plus. The movers protected the floor and carpet with cardboard or plastic.
They also shrink wrapped furniture with drawers so contents did not spill out.
Nothing broken or scratched during the process. On time both times.
Not easy, but went as well as we could have hoped for.

Action Moving is not to be trusted. Do not even think about moving with them.
I moved at the end of July. No contract was sent or signed just messages sent through thumbtack. The movers loaded everything on the truck without problem. When pulling into the loading dock the movers stated that they were worried about the angle causing their packing to dislodge. The disregarded their worries and backed down causing my dresser to land on my year old TV. I kept asking the movers to take the dresser off my TV and they refused stating it was fine.

First, I didn't receive a confirmation call from the company as they said I would. I had to reach out to confirm. I called and never received a call back, so then had to send a yelp message confirming.

I hired Action Moving two weeks ago to pack a 1 bedroom 1 bath apartment and move the items into a storage container.
The gentlemen that arrived were super polite but had no idea what they were hired to do. They showed up in a box truck, despite not needing it or moving anything in a truck, and also were surprised to know they had to pack the apartment.
It took two of them to pack a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom apartment 10 hours. Literally. I had the exact same items packed and moved in a total of 3 hours just 10 months prior. And yes, Action Moving was paid by the hour. It cost me $900 plus tip and

The price they quoted was the price I got, no funny business. The time I asked for was the time they arrived; prompt and punctual.
The two guys I had were methodical, fast, and efficient. I had expected the whole job (not anything complicated) to take about 4 hours and change. They got it done in 2 and a bit. That took me over the flat rate we had agreed on and into the hourly rate territory, but I was only charged for the percentage of actual time, rather than bumping me up to a whole new hour.

They came by to provide a free quote, detailed everything they would take and provided packing recommendations and ways to make things more efficient for the movers to save money. And they provide nice boxes for packing if you go to their warehouse in burnesville. When the movers came they were not only on time, but very personable.
