VKH Movers LLC has damaged furniture, overcharged me for time that they literally just stood around not knowing how to move an item because of its size, did not fully move my items into the desired location (left in a garage and not in the house), and overpromised the quality of work and the skillset of their employees.
I even had to hire a second moving company to finish the job that they were too inept to complete, DESPITE me specifically asking about a particularly oversized item and showing pictures of the item so they had a sense of the size. I was assured

One of the worst experience I have every had. The Sales Manager, Sean is very rude. He contacted me today (10/20/2021) and explained the moving hours and fees. When I asked him, does the time starts when they arrive to my house. He literally said "You need to listen carefully, I can't explain myself more than that" then he hanged up the phone call on me. I called him back and I told him to respect me. He replied back that "I don't want to work with you and you need to improve your listing skills". This is so rude of him. This is not a way to talk to customers or otherwise you'll lose a lot of them

VKH Movers are the worst! I have used several local moving companies in the past and these guys are by far the worst I have ever used. Extremely unprofessional, slow, and inconsiderate of breakable/fragile items. They also FORGOT several items in the apartment! Horrible service from these guys and I cannot stress enough how bad my experience with them was. I will not be using them again and I hope any potential customers take this as a warning. I recommend spending the extra money to use someone like College Hunks Hauling Junk - those guys are great and I regret not using them this time around

I would give VKH zero stars if possible. To start, the crew showed up with no masks in the midst of a pandemic. The crew broke 2 of my floor lamps (worth $300) and dropped my spin bike creating a dent in the… floor and chipping the wood surface of the condo I was moving out of. Before traveling to the my new residence, the driver double checked the travel/traffic time on google maps with me (it was 90 minutes), but they didn't arrive at my house until nearly 3 hours later (as an FYI - it only took me 1 hour to arrive at the new location) and then VKH charged me an additional 1.25 hours of

Let me start by saying that 2 of the movers did a good job, but 2 additional movers came to help and one seemed to be under the influence of some substance.
Fast-forward to my delivery. Initially everything was OK but once I had a chance to inspect everything there was soom damage to some of my furniture and one of my computer screens was damaged. I contacted the company and they sent me a claims form, which I filled out along with pictures and I haven't heard anything. I've made several attempts with no luck.

They no-showed today for my parent's move. We are a military family, and know plenty well the stress of moving. My father has a portable oxygen tank and is physically unable to do any heavy lifting, so my parents hired VKH to help load their moving truck. Such terrible service. I usually don't leave comments on services I received, but this one was just beyond unprofessional. VOH movers outsourced the other individuals to come pack for us and move. They were supposed to arrive between 1-2, they arrived close to 5, with no material (turning it into a two day job since the storage unit ended up closing). I tried reaching out to management multiple times to speak to them about the invoice and that I shouldn't be paying for services For a Craigslist job when I hired professional movers. We moved over memorial day and did not have a good experience. The crew broke several pieces of furniture, one person on the crew was fired partway through the day, and the move took 11 hours despite us moving only a mile and a half away from our old house. Also, for the record we were READY and packed. The crew showed up 1.5 hours after they said they would. We've submitted a claim to try and replace our broken items and not surprisingly no one will answer or return calls or emails. I would avoid using this company for your moving needs.

The 3 gentlemen that assisted us in our recent move were amazing!
We had an early start, around 7:30a, in Woodbridge VA and finished by 9:30p same day in Greensboro, NC. With an extra stop in-between.
They wrapped all big furniture, TVs, and everything got to us in one piece. When we had a bit of an issue with payment at the end they were very understanding and patient while we figured out the problem. (Tip: Check your daily spending limits before making big purchases!)
I would recommend this company to others and would use them again myself in the event of another big move.

Can't praise these guys enough. I had a complicated case that involved syncing up business hours with U-Haul, driving across DC in the middle of the day and lugging things up two flights of stairs, but the crew VKH sent did everything on time, beat their estimate and couldn't have been more professional. VKH movers did a fantastic job with our recent move during COVID. We needed to move in a hurry and VKH provided a reasonable quote based on the market - not the cheapest, but certainly not expensive and worth the price 100%. They moved us from Arlington to western Loudoun, including dropping off a bunch of our belongings at a storage unit. I can’t say enough about how great these guys are! The gave us a fantastic rate for a 2BR apt with 3 flights of stairs and we had a large number of books to move. They were on time, efficient, courteous, professional. They wrapped all large items and moved everything quickly with no damage whatsoever in the POURING RAIN!!! I hired them for a cross-country move from DC to LA. One-bedroom apartment, fairly straightforward.
The issues:
- Arrived 2 hours late.
- Did not wrap my furniture in blankets. Completely destroyed my couch and shattered the glass on my vanity. Wood on my bookcase gashed.
- It took them an extremely long time to pack up my apartment. There was no sense of urgency. At one point, I went downstairs to take a walk around the block because I was so anxious. When I came back, one of the movers was laying on top of my dresser, just

Great job and very friendly! They moved us from Arlington to Alexandria but we had a storage unit, apartment and POD full and they took the time to move everything efficiently and without breakage. The staff was extremely friendly and easy to work with... Prices are about $10 more per hour than other companies that I receive quotes from but the level of service and how comfortable I felt with them in my home was well worth it! They also don't have all the other little fees that you have to watch out for from other companies.

VHK Movers were perfect for our move from one neighborhood in DC to another. They were on time, very efficient and pleasant to work with. They sent two people who moved very fast and carefully, this was my first experience with the moving company where I didn't have anything damaged.
