I am writing this review as I am extremely disappointed and annoyed with the service I have received from Pac Solar. I begin working with Eric Miller in 2020. I understand the epidemic changed everything.
I am faced with having solar paneals on my home illegally as the City confirmed no permit has been issued even though he started process June 2020. mits from the City of Hercules and my panels have not undergone the necessary process to connect with PG&E. Although I have paid Eric 80% of his contract price and there remains a balance owed to him once he completes all of the necessary work

We wanted to install our solar system when we were having roof work done, and throughout the information-gathering, contract-signing, and installation process, Pac Solar was communicative, informative, and pleasant to work with. Our installation went well and the system worked great. After a year or two, one component failed. While it didn't affect the performance of our system, it was a monitoring panel that communicated whether the system was working and how well it was working. We were referred to Pac Solar by the installer of my new roof. He gave high praise of the workmanship of Pac Solar. I was looking forward to working with Eric, of Pac Solar, on designing and pricing a solar system for our home.
Unfortunately, trying to get a response from Eric is next to impossible. I highly recommend Pac Solar (Eric Miller) if you are considering solar panels.
We recently installed panels on our new roof and he coordinated everything with our roofer. Everything went off without a hitch!!
Eric is very professional and thorough, the process is straightforward and he explains everything along the way.
Once PG&E monetizes the system Eric provided a comprehensive binder with all relevant documentation, above and beyond our expectations.
We will be adding more panels in the future as our electric needs increase, looking forward to working with Eric in the future!

The couple of times I have reached out to Eric Miller post installation have been awful. He was quick to write me off and explains he would charge $300+ to come by to look at any issues. Eric is not interested in his customers once the panels are installed. He will say he is extremely busy and will hang up on you.
He is also the admin of your system so if you want to monitor your own solar panel production and efficiency of micro inverters, you "just have to take his word for it".
Pac Solar will NOT be getting my endorsement any longer.

I got 5 or 6 estimates for a solar installation at my home. Eric Miller from Pac Solar was by far the most knowledgeable and most professional of the bunch. He took a lot of time to explain how solar works, design an appropriately sized system for our needs and took care of coordination with the roofing company. He also took care of all the required communication with PG&E. He was very responsive to phone calls and he was very punctual in meetings and the installation process. Don't even think of installing solar panels until you have talked to Eric at PacSolar. From the beginning he was clear, informative and accurate. He gave me a price over a year prior to our remodel and ended up doing the job for less. He answers the phone, comes out and deals with you directly and gets on the roof with his excellent crew. I could not be happier with my solar installation done by Pac Solar. It was about as easy as it could be. Eric took care of everything; from planning, permits, installation and lots of explanations. Eric is meticulous in his attention to detail and was able to educate us on all of our options and design the most logical system for our needs. From start to finish, we couldn't have been more pleased with our experience with Pac Solar. Eric is extremely professional, no-nonsense, and tells it to you straight. He knows his stuff, and delivers what he says he will do. Our house system was fairly small, and some solar companies would not consider installing a system for us, because it wouldn't be a big (profitable) enough job for them. I interviewed six solar companies and got bids from three. Eric Miller of Pac Solar stood out way above the rest. He is responsive, quickly returning calls, and he does what he says he is going to do. He personally met with me before installation and after installation.
