An 8th generation Montgomery County Marylander/Washingtonian, Carter began working in the home building industry for his father, renovating several Historic homes in the community.

River Edge Builders are very professional, reliable and helpful. Moving from Florida to Maryland my husband and I were looking for a team of builders who would be willing to accept the challenges of building a custom house with a unique design approach. Highly Recommend!! I recently built a home with Carter and Keith in 2018. We needed the house completed quickly as we were expecting twins. Even with three straight weeks of rain when the project was supposed to start, Carter and Keith delivered a beautiful home that was everything we could have imagined. They worked around our schedules, were available at all hours of the day, and were professional throughout. When we first looked at our current home, we fell in love immediately with the craftsmanship and detailed work. it was a little over our price range so we were reluctant to move forward. The realtor called two hours later and said Keith Stephenson wants to meet with you and show you around the home personally. We met Keith the next day and he spent over an hour looking through every nook and cranny of the home and answering not just our questions but my parents questions as well - with patience and knowledge that you can only get after many years of experience.
