Located in Fairfield, NJ, Mediterranean Tile is family-owned and operated by Frank Matarazzo and his sister, Maria Cappello, both of whom have extensive experience in the industry.
What do you like most about your job? My favorite thing to do is to design tile spaces, and make them look different and more exceptional than the client even expected. What else are you passionate about? I am passionate about creating something personal and beautiful for our customers. So that every time they look at it, it will remind them of the great experience they had at Mediterranean Tile.

My wife and I spent several hundred dollars on tile/grout. I installed the tile, but when I mixed some grout, it looked gray instead of white, so I didn't grout the tile. Upon inquiring, my wife found out that they gave us the incorrect grout. The person on the phone acted as if it was our fault. The tile store is 45 min. each way from us, so we asked that they just credit us the $22 for the grout, and we'd buy it in Lowes. "NO" was the answer. They had to have it back to credit us. My wife asked if they would come and pick it up; once again, "NO" was the answer

We ordered tile from Lynn and special colored grout for our shower. We had to pick up the tile at the warehouse (and pay shipping) they gave us a box with the wrong color grout and now the bathroom at our second home has an entirely different look. I sent an email and left a message for Lynn about the issue, and she never even called me back. So much for customer service.

We had an amazing experience at Med Tile! From the very beginning Jacqui helped my wife and I pick all the tile for our rooms. Jacqui has great taste and we really appreciated her guiding us. Frank the owner is a gentleman. He came out to introduce himself and assured us that if we need anything he will make it happen. I just received delivery of the tile today and it was packaged immaculately. Each pallet was labeled neatly and correctly.

Great experience working with Jacqui at Mediterranean Tile in Fairfield! I struggled picking the tile and size for my bathroom renovation. I visited several tile stores and did not receive much help from other sales people. Jacqui at Mediterranean tile was able to help me narrow down my decisions and pick out beautiful tiles. Not pushy at all, answers all questions. Definitely would recommend!

Customer Service phone call to Bernardsville, NJ was very good. I was given the information I needed. However, I have previously placed orders for file in Fairfield, NJ, and when the order arrived, at least 1/3 of the tiles were broken. I had to pay for them anyways. The lead time was very bad, as well. Of course, if you're ordering hand made tiles, you'll likely have to wait.

My Kitchen and Bathroom design firm has been working with Mediterranean TIle for 15 years now. The most knowledgeable and professional staff around. With patience and thoughtfulness, Nina Martin helped us design and implement the most beautiful kitchen and bathrooms we could have hoped for. Nina paid close attention to our vision and budget in order to create the look and feel we wanted. She worked with our contractor to be sure he understood how we wanted each room tiled. The end result is stunning! We are just sorry the house is done because it was such a pleasure working with Nina. We wholeheartedly recommend Nina at Mediterranean Tile.

Mediterranean Tile has the best selection, as well as outstanding service. Nina helped me select my kitchen backsplash in my first house She was easy to work with, patient, offered excellent advice. and followed through on delivery. I then sold that house and have just returned to Nina and Mediterranean Tile to do my new apartment kitchen and bathroom. Again, Nina was a pleasure and the tiles arrived and look beautiful! When I do my 2nd bathroom, I will return to Nina and Mediterranean Tile. I live in another state now and I wouldn't think of going anywhere else. It's worth the time.
