Dave provided a timely quote at competitive price. Crew showed up on time; took down a 50 foot oak tree in two hours. Cleaned up entirely... Couldn't even tell they were there except a few tracks in the yard from the skid loader. Would recommend them to anyone.

I'm sorry but these people are very unprofessional. Not only did they bring the wrong amount of wood but they are completely over priced plus when my wife called to correct the problem wanting a refund or the full amount asked for, he proceeded to tell her its too late laughed and hung up on her. Outstanding customer service am I right? But we wrote a check so sorry but come pick up your wood.

David listened to all my concerns and helped me understand what could be done to improve the health and look of our trees. We had two removed, three stumps removed, and all others (5) trimmed. His crew arrived on schedule and did great work! I was a little concerned when I didn't see David, but he obviously communicated well, because everything was done just as we discussed. I'd hire this company again, and highly recommend them.

Very happy with Holtz Tree Service. They should up exactly on time for both the first meeting and estimate, and then on the promised date of the tree removal. Dave and his team were in our yard for about 1 hour, removed all branches and cleaned up everything. On time, quick workers, reasonable price. Will definitely call them again next time.

Started off great with immediate response and next day delivery. I was quoted $300 for a full 4x4x8 stack.
Half of this was provided and when I called to ask questions the same fella told me he never would have said that and that a cord costs $750. The problem is that I am not stupid. We had a specific conversation about what a cord is, the size of the stack and the cost. Never using them again. Beware.
Also, they stacked the wood directly in my kids sandbox. I literally drew them a map showing a dead spot in my lawn where I wanted it stacked. I'm an architect, so I kinda know how to draw

Here is my experience. I phoned on Friday, left a message. He called back on Saturday. Said he would deliver within the next week. I said he needed a firm delivery time. He said OK. I will phone you on Sunday, get your address and deliver the wood on Monday morning.
On Sunday no call.
It is Monday night and I am starting after marking "don't do business with these people" in my Rolodex.

This place is a total joke. I don't know if you have ever seen the show "Swamp Loggers" but apparently that is where Holtz scores their firewood... from the bottom of some lake in the bayou. The wood that they dropped off at my house had been wet for so long that is was literally moldy and smelled like mildew. I tried to burn some. I did get it to light but the heat was literally forcing moisture to start coming out of the log. Bubbly, white water coming out of the log as it sat in the fire... Total waste of my time and money. Don't recommend. Also they quoted me $200

*****UPDATE****** we called another company to deliver wood...the person who brought the wood this time filled up the SAME EXACT SPACE that Holtz filled up for me, however Holtz charged $250 for an ENTIRE cord, whereas the new company charged $120 for a "face" or "fire place" cord. They filled up the exact same space people!!!! Holtz was trying to charge me for a full cord of "clean, dry, treated" wood when they were giving me half that which was dirty, wet, and molded. NOTICE - I left my review.....then shortly after there are 2 more five star reviews that address

Dave and his team are fabulous! Just had some tricky, VERY mature, trees removed from my backyard in Plymouth, and I couldn't be happier with the entire process from the initial quote to the completed job. Everyone I interacted with at Holtz was professional, courteous, and so easy to work with. I will definitely be using Holtz Tree Service for future jobs!

I had the opposite experience of the gentleman who provided the review from a few months ago. Holtz was wonderful to work with, scheduled in a convenient time frame, arrived on time, did phenomenal work, and the price was fair. I was very happy with their work. I had 2 trees removed and another 3 trimmed. Very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely have them back for more tree work in the future.

I thought Holtz did a great job. Dave, the owner came over to review my monster elm and showed up when he said he would. He and his crew showed up even a few minutes earlier than their start up time and finished by the end of the day. Their price for the job was per quote and the quote was less than three others that I had received. I would use them again without question.

This company may be more focused on selling firewood than tree trimming. I set up an appt time with a company rep who said he'd come between 8-10 am. He didn't show up or call. Another company came at their time at 11:15 arriving 15 mins late but called l me at 10:50 alerting me he would be a few mins late. At 12:15 the Holtz rep showed up at my door with an explanation that he forgot. Sorry. Not professional. I don't recommend this company.

We have ordered wood twice from Holtz and the first order was very good burning wood. The second order was very poor - smoky and wet and didn't burn well at all. Dave did come out to check the wood and I asked him to take some and burn it himself to see if he had the same issues. I followed up with an email to ask him about the wood and I never heard back. We would not order from them again after getting the second delivery that didn't burn well, especially since this is the first time we have had this experience with any firewood purchase. We did appreciate that he came back to check

We have received some of the best firewood from these guys in town! They delivered and stacked the wood quickly and efficiently. Super nice and friendly to work with! This year we had them come back and remove a tree for us. Prices were reasonable and they even cleaned up everything. Awesome job! Would totally recommend to friends and family!

I recommend Holtz Firewood! We ordered our wood and it was delivered 3 days later. We keep our wood against our garage but there is a hill right behind our garage so it's tricky to put wood in on a palette. No problem for Holtz because they stack the wood by hand. It looks so organized! Fast, professional and kind.

This is my favorite place to order firewood from. We don't have a truck so it's wonderful to have it delivered. They also stack it up very neatly so the wood is held in by two jenga-style stacks on either end - it looks cool and is nice and orderly. They have quick delivery, they're friendly and it seems like they're a family business.
