BE AWARE!!! My Guys was sent out to our house via our home warranty company. They spent 15-20 minutes at our house and without opening up anything, they said we needed to replace our 3 year old evaporator coil at a cost of $1,600 to us. We hired another company to come out, they spent 4.5 hours, ran multiple test and could find nothing wrong but a dirty coil - which they cleaned. I did not need a new coil as My Guys Hating & AC suggested.

We had a solid and positive experience with My Guys Heating & Air Conditioning to repair our AC unit. The technician/owner (Charlie) was amazing, and the install/repair crew (Mario and son) were INCREDIBLE! They stayed until the job was complete, and until they knew the unit was running properly. The office personnel (Sarah) was incredibly professional and helpful! About 1 week after the repair, some sort of brown-out and/or power surge occurred in our home which apparently caused a fuse(?) to blow in the control board. I hesitated at first to find someone to fix my A/C after being told that my system was old, but I'm glad that we went with this company. Charlie was very responsive and quick in coming out to help with our old unit to patch it until we could get the new one installed. They went over everything really well, and I couldn't have asked for a better deal. The financing was nice due to the pandemic. My Guys replaced my sprinkler backflow valves that were damaged in the recent hard freeze here in the Houston area. Charlie Long responded in a timely matter and performed the job in less than an hour. The cost to do the repairs were much lower than expected. I would highly recommend My Guys for any plumbing issues. The new valve is on the right.

I would give no star if I could. My warranty company sent out because my ac not cooling. Technician came out. Check outside unit and then went into the attic. After 15 minutes came back to tell me that my evaporator coil in air handler in the attic was not working. Did the whole scare tactic by telling me my warranty company would take 7 to 10 days to approve and then it would be 3 to 5 more days before they could get the parts. And reminded me that I would still be out of pocket about $2000. He then told me option two was to hire them directly and they could come out tomorrow and fix it for

Really disappointing. We had My Guys AC come out through our home warranty. After telling my husband a part that was covered under warranty needed to be fixed, they also said they needed to clean the coils, an additional $200+. A week later, AC problems again and they have ignored questions asking if they checked the refrigerant levels. Would definitely not recommend, seems like if a warranty is involved they look to do whatever they can to charge extra and not actually fix the problem.

Had a wonderful experience with My Guys Heating & Air. Our air conditioner was making a really strange noise and they came out almost immediately to find out what the problem was. They did some research to find out that the part was actually still under warranty, got the part within 2 hours and we were up and running in no time. I would highly recommend this company!!!

NEVER EVER USE THESE GUYS...THEY LIE, REFUSE TO FOLLOW UP ON SERVICE, OR DELIVER ITEMS ALREADY PAID FOR AND MESSY!!!
Installed a furnace/air conditioner system and new duct work, a tankless water heater and a mini split a/c system. A lot of money! Now I have spent a lot money fixing their mistakes.
They did not correctly install the mini split and it lost all of it Freon. All of the pipes they ran for the furnace and water heater were the wrong size according to code and the manual for the tankless water system and refused to make it right. Denying they did anything wrong. Tore out old vents

If your home warranty sends these guys send them away. They will lie to get your claim denied and then try to charge you an insane amount of money to fix the issue. My capacitor went out and they said the only cause would be a surge, they quoted me $377 to fix it. I called another AC company they came out and charged me $130 to fix the problem and they told me that a surge is not the only reason why the capacitor will stop working it could have overheated or simply gone bad there is no way to say 100%. These guys are shady and will not recommend to anyone.

Unfortunately, I'm reading the reviews now and its too late! A year ago our home warranty recommended this company to fix our downstairs a/c unit which was blowing very hot air. The "salesman" came out and stated the compressor was shot and recommended replacing the unit as it was 11 years old, "it didn't make sense to put a good part in a bad unit". The home warranty company however would only pay for the compressor which was broken and not a new unit, the salesman did explain this to us and we elected to have the unit replaced immediately as it was June in Texas

Never heard from these guys until they came today. Besides taking care of the problem we had, the technician went out of his way to point out that in one of the rooms which doesn't seem to get as cool as the rest of the house, the outlet grill on the ceiling, the fins were pointing the wrong way. We also received some advise as to how to increase the life of the compressor in the condenser unit.

I don't usually write reviews unless someone is really good or really bad. This is the latter case.
I had this company assigned to me from the Home Warranty Company, and boy was that a bad idea. Every review here states the same thing I went through with these guys and more.
They came in promptly for the first visit and collected their visit fee but after that the nightmare started. Mind you this is July in Houston, TX and its a 100 degrees outside . I have a 6 month old in the house who is to say the least uncomfortable with the heat.
The technician spent all but 2 minutes in the attic

Was assigned with home warranty company ( third assigned contractor ) . The Home warranty company tried Saturday afternoon up to 8pm to make contact for my A/C repair which was out. No response / no repair / hotel night1 .
Sunday I attempt to make contact.....actually 5 of them, including 2 to the 24 hour, emergency line. No response / no repair / hotel night 2.
Monday 8am, no contact by My guys heating and air, I go with a different fix. When the tech called me at 8:20pm Monday night, I told him I didn't need the services of his company.

Sunday - Our A/C goes out during the hottest week of the year. Called up our home warranty company and they arranged "My Guys Heating and Air Conditioning" to check it out. There would be a 2 day lead time before they arrived, which I can understand during their busy time.

These guys were awesome! Have a home warranty and once called they arrived next day. Friendly, professional, and most important took the time to explain my a/c system. Fixed the problem with zero extra charges. Rare in this industry. Kevin was my tech and should be employee of the month every month! Him and his work mate could not have been better! I knew up front this was going to be a disaster and an expensive one at that. I called My Guys because I heard they did after hours service calls. I knew this was going to be extra but it was pay them or move both my wife, myself and the dog out. They said they would be out at 9 and arrived at 8:40. Charles said since it was not running at all he was thinking an easy fix. Within 2 minutes he found burned wires and he asked if we had a power surge today and we did. Fixed the wires and was out in 30 minutes. Word to the wise get a surge protector. You

This company was "assigned" to come and fix my A/C as part of a home warranty I have. Things started out great. They came as promised and fixed the problem and collected my $. Unfortunately two days later the A/C was not working again and then the fun started. Called back. Exchanged voicemails. Was promised a return visit and they never showed. Was again promised a call from a manager or owner. No call. So I fired them and will be seeking a refund through other legal means. A long winded way of saying avoid using these Guys.
