The late Steven Berryhill and Kevin DeLucenay founded Old Smokey's in October of 1981. In the summer of 1981, they both had factory jobs, and wanted extra income from weekend work. They were both avid "Mother Earth News" readers, and an ad put in every issue claimed, "Make a Thousand Dollars a Week Cleaning Chimneys".
Our Team is family; and so are our customers. That's why we work hard to provide peace of mind to each and every customer. We know what we do makes a difference, so for the past 31 years and today, we stand by our commitment that the job is done right. That means it's on time, without mess, without aggravation and at the lowest cost possible.

Having a fireplace and a clothes dryer in your home makes for a much more convenient and enjoyable atmosphere - but there is a certain amount of upkeep needed in order to maintain that atmosphere. The National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA) state that every chimney and venting system should be professionally inspected once a year and swept as needed.

Alex does a great job for us. He always calls when on his way. He's very respectful. Takes his shoes off before walking on the carpet. Never leaves a mess. He does an awesome job and is very friendly.

I had a really nice young man (Juan) that came out to service our gas fireplace. He talked to me about having our gas logs replaced and possibly a door with window put in. I asked him to have someone call me for an estimate which he called back and confirmed that he did. I've never heard from anyone. I've left a message but still no call.

Had issue with LP gas log fireplace not staying one. Venting issue was found to be issue and outside expertise of initial tech, they sent a second tech for a thorough inspection and repair. Very efficient, clean, and knowledgeable. Walked me through the issue and noted some do's and dont's.

The tech that cleaned our chimney was very professional and explained everything that he was doing. He explained what he seen on the inside of the chimney and told us that we had some major issues and that he recommended that we don't burn anything in our fireplace. He gave us a suggestion of a wood burning insert that would bypass all of our issues and would be a cheaper cost than having the chimney fixed. Also explained that the insert is more efficient than an open burning chimney. I am really glad we had the chimney cleaned and inspected before we started to burn in the fireplace. If we would

Alex is the bomb! I've had plenty of folks sweep my chimney but never anyone as courteous & as skilled as Alex from Old Smokey's. They even clean the fireplace, paint and repair as needed! Prices are fair (cheap compared to others) and service is prompt and timely. I'll always have Old Smokey's do my work!
