We know we aren't the only tree company in town - there are quite a few to choose from as you decide who to entrust with your property. Is your tree being removed? If so, the use of ankle spikes/gaffs is not a problem - the gouges made to your tree's bark will be moot. However, if your tree is being pruned it's a very different story.
We're so glad you're thinking of requesting a load of woodchips from Gill Tree Care! Before submitting your application, let's review a few things that can help ensure a successful delivery. Are there tree branches/power/phone/cable lines overhead? Our truck might not be terribly tall, but the bed has to be raised up at an angle in order for the chips to dump out and we can't risk tangling with potential hazards overhead.

The best service I could have imagined after having a massive tree fall on the house. Plenty of companies came by trying to get out business and they all seemed sketch. We found Gill Tree Care through a neighborhood Facebook group and it was the best referral ever. Anya handles all the back office stuff and phones, she’s the sweetest person ever with the most calming voice. The owner came out to view the damage and give an estimate literally 15 minutes after talking with her because he was in the area. He was knowledgeable about trees and insurance claims which was helpful because our insurance

I had two red maples needing work. One needed to be trimmed back from over a neighbor's yard and the other needed cabling. Brendan came out and gave me a fair price and then when their schedule had an opening, they called and came out the next day. Team was very safe and professional and the results look great.

Professional staff who did a superb job of seeing that tree was removed, debris in my yard (and neighbor's yard) cleaned up, limbs removed and stump ground. Service was reasonably priced and all services completed as agreed upon. Would highly recommend and will use Gill Tree Care if needed again.

Brendan and his team did an excellent job trimming trees around my property, and even an overgrown bush! Brendan did a superb job explaining his recommendations and reasoning during the initial consult. It was also great to meet another Brit (and fellow cricket enthusiast) in Decatur! His team were very professional, prompt, and took care not to disrupt my neighbor's yard, despite having to trim a boundary tree. I highly recommend Gill Tree Care and look forward to working with them again in the future.

Brendan was prompt and was very knowledgeable during the estimate process. He was very realistic with the timing when they could do the work (unlike some companies who stated 6 weeks out and then tried to schedule me 4 months out). When he and his team arrived, we discussed again all the work which needed to be done (I appreciated that). His workers were excellent and not disruptive and even my neighbor commented on how a great job they did. Just an FYI, they were slightly higher then some of the other quotes I received, but it was worth getting it done sooner and the professionalism.

I scheduled for a callback on their website and received a call the next morning. Very professional and courteous! Later that day, Brendan was able to come and examine our tree that has been losing branches. Although we did not need any services done, Brendan was extremely helpful and if we ever need anything tree related in the future, we will certainly be using Gill Tree Care. Thank you so much!

This is a fantastic business, and I have two stories to support this claim. The first is I noticed the bushes in front of my house appeared to be dying this spring. I called Gill Tree Care (Brendan is an arborist) and they had a two week wait list because they were so busy, but since my bushes might be dying and time was of the essence, Brendan stopped by the next day very early in the morning and checked them out. He then emailed me and said they could possibly use some organic fertilizer (which he attached a quote for), but he recommended I wait a season and see what happened. In a few weeks

We reached out to Gill Tree Care to do some maintenance on our very old and large oak. They said they'd be happy to do the job, but had some concerns about the overall health of our tree. After some tests and consulting with the City of Atlanta arborist, we realized we had a very sick tree. We were appreciative that Gill advised us not to spend money unnecessarily when the tree needed to come down. Gill's team was amazing. They showed up early each day, protected our house (despite the close proximity of the tree), and left our yard clean. We recommend them strongly!

I recently had four trees removed from my intown property, a big oak tree that was bundled with a pecan and leaning alarming over our house, and two smaller maples that were also bundled at the root. Gill Tree Care did a great job removing the trees safely and without any drama and for 10% less than what two other companies proposed. It was a wonderful experience and I would be very happy to use them again.
